When’s the last time you saw a hedgehog? 🦔 Their numbers are falling, so I just signed a petition to make hedgehog highways - tiny gaps in fences to help them - mandatory in ALL new builds. Add your name: act.38degrees.org.uk/act/hedgehogs

@benonwine The oncoming car is driving on the WRONG side of the street

@TheGriftReport Why use such a manifestly false image to make a legitimate point and thereby undermine it?

@benonwine I remember two (actually I do remember only one)

@holland_tom I asked it to “translate” a page of secretary script C17th records I was researching. It made stuff up and came out with a product which was the direct opposite of the true meaning. 😡

AI is rubbish at history. It just makes stuff up. I gave ChatGBT a go yesterday, thinking it might boost my productivity, and it fed me a completely bogus quote by Pindar. But making sure it WAS bogus took time - so far from boosting my productivity, AI had actively sabotaged it.

Microsoft just dropped a study showing the 40 jobs most at risk by AI and the 40 most secure.

Labour are backtracking on a plan to help save birds: by blocking a new rule that would make developers put a £35 nest brick in every new home. They think it'll help win them votes - we need to show it would do the opposite. Sign the petition 38d.gs/zcpv

@BarbaraRich_law @craigmorrison22 @Grant2982888331 @sarafina_mucci @Elaine_Ellinger When I was called to the Bar 50 years ago there were many Islamic students - we tried to sit with them at dinner because they would not share in the wine, so more for us! They returned to their countries providing some British soft influence where they went. So everyone wins!

@craigmorrison22 @Grant2982888331 @sarafina_mucci @Elaine_Ellinger Not only an English barrister but a member of Lincoln’s Inn. You are right about the OP’s ignorance, agenda and sheer innumeracy. But she has blown her dog whistle and plenty of them have turned up to wag their tails at her

Call to the Bar – Trinity Term, 25 July 2024 lincolnsinn.org.uk/news/call-to-t…
Asking why a prestigious British legal institution would have a call list that is 80% (36 out of 45) Islamic in a country where Muslims are roughly 6.5% of the population is not only logical — it’s essential.
Does Lincoln’s Inn operate under DEI recruitment policies? Are children from England’s historic population now being overlooked in favour of more politically protected identities? Are the children of significant donors given preferential treatment? Are interviewers so afraid of bias accusations that they favour “safe” minority candidates?
Such disproportionate representation raises serious concerns—not only about academic objectivity but also about the long-term impact on the British legal system. Islamic principles are inconsistent with English law. What happens when loyalties conflict with constitutional and secular norms?
We’ve already heard Sadiq Khan—a British lawyer and Mayor of London—state that religion is an immutable characteristic and cannot be changed - this is an Islamic principle, not a British one. [The Guardian, Aug 8, 2024]
