Today’s LEGO advent door for day #4 was a hockey mini-fig. I wished I’d been thinking to record my son’s reaction. It was *awesome*. Also - this is the coolest advent calendar ever. So far we have a reindeer, a North Pole, a skiing snowman (pictured), and now a hockey player!

Took my boy last night to his first hockey game. Got to watch @utahhockey trounce SDSU 10-0 😮. The team was awesome and one of the coaches gave my son a game puck - which he is SO very proud of! Now I have to find him a hockey stick. And skates. Thanks for a really fun night! 🏒

There is a booth in the convention center near where the badge printing was that was booking them. But when I looked early last week, the time slots I was interested in were not available.

I've been obsessing over this image of retinal astrocytes for the past few weeks. Astrocytes (GFAP) in cyan, gap junctions (cx43) in yellow, and DAPI in magenta. Check out their endfeet on the blood vessel in the middle! @zeiss_micro #neuroscience #Microscopy #womeninscience

@tomkimmerer Can confirm. We saw about a half dozen on a small stretch of beach and a few came in with the tide even when we were in Florida last week on vacation. Avalon State park near Vero Beach, FL. Had to have a talk with the 5 yo about the dangers.

Well &%@! this day. Below is the last photo I made during last night’s sunset. Tonight, while getting up to go to charge the battery, my Fuji slipped out of my stupid clumsy hands and shattered. The lens snapped right off the camera. I am defeated. And now camera-less. 🤬🥺💔

Only took 2 yrs and 8 months (thanks COVID), but nice to finally have an issue and cover prints in hand! Now to find a frame and decorate some bare office wall space.

@neurofim I'm upset, but realized it was gone while 5 yo was talking to his friend that is recovering from a burst appendix. Perspective. A ring is replaceable.

Losing my wedding band was not on my bingo card for tonight. Bright side, it and my engagement ring both slipped off, but we were able to find the latter. If you're in Sandy, UT and find it, I'd love it back.
