Iran fired 340 missiles at Israel in 20 days of war, compared to 550 in 2025 war; currently Tehran fires about 10-12 missiles per day, Ynet says; uptick in past 2 days stems from bad weather, which makes it harder for Air Force to detect launchers. In Iran, US and Israel bombed over 16,000 targets; IDF carried out over 50 pinpointed eliminations.

This morning, @GovernorVA said she would take Republican members of Congress' concerns more seriously if they spoke out against redistricting efforts in other states. “It wasn’t until their individual House seats seemed in doubt, or precisely, their actual reelection to Congress seemed in doubt, that they decided to have any opposition to redistricting efforts in our country," Spanberger said.

I asked Republican Congressman @RobWittman in Chesterfield about @GovernorVA voting in favor of Virginia's redistricting amendment. “I would disagree with the governor. I would go back to her words where she said gerrymandering is not in the interest of our democracy, that gerrymandering should be not allowed and we should have a bipartisan process," said Wittman. Wittman asked, "Why the 180 degree turnaround?"

@RTDOpinions The author is a Trumpist who is sad. Be sad, Trumpists! Better yet--stop the robberies in other states, and VA would back down. But you won't, so neither will we. Sic semper tyrannis. The vote will be democratic, let's see what happens.

Virginia Democrats’ proposed redistricting amendment is a partisan power grab that would overturn the will of voters, dismantle bipartisan reform, and drag the commonwealth back toward the machine‑politics era we richmond.com/opinion/column…

U.S./IRAN war is having a very different impact on gas prices in Europe and Asia compared with the United States. The conflict has had essentially no impact on domestic gas prices in the United States, which remains insulated from global markets by limits on export capacity. U.S. gas futures prices are down by 30% on average so far this month compared with December. By contrast, prices in Asia have risen 65% and those in Europe have increased by 88% over the same period as the war cuts the availability of LNG:

In 2008, the Catholic vote was evenly split: 50% for McCain 50% for Obama In 2024, it was solidly red: 56% for Trump 42% for Harris White Catholics are a 2:1 Republican voting bloc now. Non-white Catholics went from 24% for Trump in 2016 to 40% in 2024.

Yes. I love Catholics but they gave us Kennedy, a Democrat northeast, the Hart-Cellar Act, a woke Pope, and are not reliable as a voting block.

I have spent a good part of my career just getting people to believe this was actually happening. Now we are here. With 15 drones, you can lose roughly 1/4 of the B-52 force as it sits idle on the ground. This was always the most concerning scenario. Time to move to hardening. Just a matter of time now till we learn the hard way.
Hey, Dave!@davegreenidge57

Barksdale AFB was hit by multiple waves of drones over a week’s time. The base houses numerous nuclear weapons.

I am concerned all the doom about young college grads is going to convince many that non-college is a better path to prosperity. While obviously true sometimes, the data is clear that college grads are still doing better. nationalreview.com/2026/03/ais-ov…

Happening Now: @GovernorVA is voting early in Virginia's redistricting referendum.  She is voting YES on a proposed constitutional amendment that would allow Democrats to implement a proposed 10D-1R congressional map in Virginia.

By request, here's a 🧵 of my responses to claims of religious resurgence in the UK. Survey evidence supporting Quiet Revival claims come from panels in which people can self-enroll. Surveys using random population samples don't show rising church attendance.

Sapphire and Steel (1979-82). One of the most terrifying children's dramas ever made. The premise of Sapphire and Steel was ambiguous: 'elements’ were assigned by a higher power to prevent time from exploiting anomalies in the fabric of the universe. Sometimes beings from the past or future were the threat; sometimes it was time itself. David McCallum and Joanna Lumley play the lead roles: two inter-dimensional operatives called Sapphire and Steel, who took human form in their mission to stop time itself wreaking havoc on the present. Sapphire was the more empathetic agent: she could rewind time in small ways to see what has happened, and could tell the age and history of objects or people by touch. Often her eyes changed colour when this happened. Steel was a more cold, calculating character. He had enormous strength and could freeze himself to near absolute zero, allowing him to destroy paranormal entities. He had little sympathy for humans. Other 'elements' occasionally helped Sapphire and Steel: Lead had immense strength, whilst Silver was a mischievous Technician who could manipulate technology and create holograms. The key to Sapphire and Steel was its claustrophobic sense of terror: the sets were sparse and confined; the plot proceeded slowly like a good horror novel, building up the tension. It's available on DVD and is well worth watching if you like tales of slowly building psychological fear.
