I’ve figured out one of India’s core problems - “money for nothing.” Everyone wants to get paid for simply moving paper, stamping paper, signing paper or delaying paper. “Kaam chori” has somehow become normalized. Real progress begins when value creation matters more than paperwork.

Just learned India slaps ~300% duty on ultra-luxury car imports - that’s taxing consumption. Economies grow on spending, not hoarding. Zero-sum thinking has failed. Encourage consumption, not just savings, and growth follows. Maybe then labels like “dead economy” won’t stick.
