EMURGO is acting as a facilitator for Cardano builders, ensuring our ecosystem has a premier seat at the table. Today, we announce that we will forgo the 15% management fee for TOKEN2049 and refund it back to the treasury to address any concerns about economic gain and to stay fully aligned with the community. Any future Unified Event Proposal by EMURGO in this budget cycle will also exclude a management fee. This means we are running TOKEN2049 and future unified events at the cheapest possible cost to the treasury. The funds requested represent only true third-party vendor costs. Governance is changing how decisions get made on this chain, and we want to participate in that on the same terms as everyone else. Voting closes on June 4. @sully60894846 Ya had someone else ask about a token they seen in their wallet with my name on it but its a method the scammers used to get people to go to the website. I've shared now so hopefully make sure noone gets caught

This site is nothing to do with me and 100% a scam. Some scammers have created a copy of my website and added a claim ADA button,
DO NOT use that as I presume they are just trying to steal all your funds. Be careful out there and look at every tx you sign on any app.

The language and framing here missed the mark, and that's probably an understatement.

At the end of March, we publicly communicated these initiatives as being in production, near-launch, or ongoing delivery efforts. They were never framed as "finished and done". It should not have come across this way at all.
Truth be told, the work continues. Intersect remains the contract lead on 3 of the 4 integrations, and these are multi-year commitments involving development, operations, maintenance, and commercial obligations. I know how hard my team and other members of the Pentad have worked on all of these, and continue to do so.
LayerZero in particular is a significant piece of work. Commercial terms are in place and development is progressing, but describing it as delivered or closed is not accurate and should never have come across that way. Remaining surplus funds will also be reconciled and returned to the Treasury.
Getting Dune and Pyth live, progressing LayerZero, and bringing USDCx to Cardano in record time are meaningful outcomes. There really is no parallel in Cardano's history for bringing these kinds of integrations into motion at this pace.
The communication missed the mark badly. The work itself, however, continues.

A major milestone for Cardano's infrastructure and institutional readiness.
