1,524,400 ADA for the Cardano Content Creator Consortium. C4 is a 12-month pilot funding 6 established Cardano video creators to produce at least 850 original videos across news, DeFi education, project showcases, shorts, interviews and live streams. Monthly reports, a 6-month review gate and two independent audits are included. Is this the kind of marketing Cardano needs, or should creators stay fully market-funded? c4.learncardano.io

If I were ever to write hand-over documentation, this is how I'd do it: "How I Run a Crypto YouTube Channel (The Full Blueprint)." Covers: - Idea sourcing - Research and verification - Script writing - Thumbnails, titles, 30-second intro - Video recording - Production - Audio - Publishing platforms, YouTube, Spreaker, Blog - SEO & Video SEO - Social posting - Launch timing - Shorts and reels - AI optimisation Complete start-to-end process for anyone wanting to start a YouTube channel, any project that actually wants to gain reach and build a relationship with their audience, or build upon the work I've done. Good luck.

It's not about the 100 wallets, all that did was show it works. I built a machine and never got to turn it on. The capital and time required to build that channel had to be invested upfront. It didnt exist until I built it, but after I built it became an access point/distribution channel where a video that cost $100-200 to produce now onboards a hundred people, because this channel has an audience, it has steady flow of new viewers everyday, it has domain authoriy in the niche, and now over a year with a video a week it onboards 10,000 people - and all that money that was invested into the content that onboards people is still there next year, and the year after that for years. So you spend lets say $50k in a year - you get 52 videos, that onboards 10k people a year into a wallet. Next year you spend another 50k, but you already have that past work working for you still. So now you're doubling your content and increasing your onboarding you're compounding your efforts and using your money effectively - but we as a community happily pay 60k+ to have 10' x 20' booth at an event for 2 days. Where is the long tail forethought on this?

@DaveXCrypto @Jdc12186 Ah yes, I recall that video. Now how much should Dave be paid for those 10o wallets being created and the awareness you brought? What is the value of that, this is where I think we dont see eye to eye. I dont see how those 100 wallets can be validated from an ROI perspective 🤔

where does my job as a marketer stop though? If I got them to download a wallet I've 100% completed my side of the job. I don't own the wallet. I have absolutely no way of verifying anything after I get them to download it. Thats for the wallet/dapp It could be a bad UI inside the wallet or any amount of other things that stop the user journey and experience after they download, doesnt mean the marketing didnt work or provide good ROI

@DaveXCrypto @Jdc12186 Okay, 100 wallets is prob more than others are doing and same with a booth. Let's dig in on this, what did they do after creating a wallet? Are you directing them to a particular wallet? Whats after creating a wallet? Happy to have a meaningful chat but its how you sell it IMO

I'm not saying its just the view, views is one metric. I proved that I could create a funnel, from a niche outside of crypto that brings people into the ecosystem. I posted 1 video on the channel, it got about 100 wallet downloads before It was switched to private. If something like this had been properly funded I could have just continued to make dozens of videos and easily onboarded thousands of people, that would have been verified for a fraction of the cost that we spend on any marketing. x.com/DaveXCrypto/st…

@DaveXCrypto @Jdc12186 Hey I agree, to "man" event booths etc vs funding you, I would 100% fund you. BUT, Dave, what did 70 million views get the ecosystem, honestly? This is where I lose ya, you cannot quantify the ROI on the views, only assumptions. Appreciate you providing your perspective and time.

wallets created/downloaded was tracked - you also need to keep everything in context - there is a finite amount of money to use for marketing - if a marketing campgain like mine (which produced 2m views so far) and continues to produce 10's of thousands of views a month going forward that cost less than a 1 day side event that cardano holds anywhere. Which ones a better ROI for the treasury? 150 eating and drinking for a day or a funnel that proved you could onboard people into cardano through it. Not to mention that had there been more funds to capitalize on what I did it could have been even bigger. So yes, a funnel that is proven and works and cost a fraction of what we spend on live events with little trackable ROI is good enough for me.

@DaveXCrypto @Jdc12186 How is that translating in to wallets created, cnts bought or ADA value increasing? If you think 70k people seeing the Cardano logo on your YT channel is all of the ROI needed to validate your $ ask, maybe that is why you don't get funded?

@BigADA244 @Jdc12186 ROI? 70,000+ people see the cardano logo every month because of me still from something I did almost a year ago - I tracked onboarding people into cardano, and I made content. Yes the treasury got an ROI for me

I dont think you understand how things work. "I dont see content creators for movies or video games asking for money from Hollywood" This is literally how movies are made - people need to seek funding to get movies made - there needs to be investors in those movies (sometimes in the millions - sometimes called producers) and they they have to make it, find a distributor and promote it to try and make back (and more) the money they put in. Same thing with video games, those things have budgets to get made. they treasury isnt subsidzing content creators, its paying for a service just like anything else that people cant seem to understand. An dev/engineer should just figure out other ways to make money money so they can just buiild with the subsidized of the treasury.

@DaveXCrypto @BigADA244 If you can't make money with views then why should the practice be subsidized with treasury? Maybe try making more entertaining content? I dont see content creators for movies or video games asking for money from Hollywood, they do it because they figured out how to monetize it

Normal content creators dont cover cardano - think there is any coronation? Because no project on this chain can afford to pay for "in video sponsorships" All those people can go promote other blockchains that pay them and have. So youre right this is how cardano loose its people.

@BigADA244 @DaveXCrypto Normal content creators get paid by the platform they put content on, or in-video sponsorships. Maybe try that route instead of pilfering from the ecosystem.

This idea that people shouldn't be paid for work is becoming normalized by people and its bizarre. Yes - pay people to cover you. Almost like a job. And in relation to IO - there is no transparency on what they're proposals fund, how much they are paying people (150k-300k yr for engineers?) Meanwhile creators ask for BELOW median wage to do the job and get told no and they should just do it or that its not worth it (but complain when its not done) Do you work? Im guessing you dont because if you did a job and yr employer didnt pay you would you keep showing up and putting in your own time and effort for the employer?

I'm certain many of these people in this group have gotten people to eat at the restaurant, but we have no way of knowing exactly how many. I think assuming it's 0 would be incorrect, so it's not doing nothing for these metics but since we can't track how can we attribute directly to tvl, mau, onchain tx how do you measure?

@DaveXCrypto While I agree marketing is a different capability, incentives alignment need to partially%-overlap with core metrics (TVL etc). Getting people to the front door of the restaurant to look at the menu, vs getting paying customers sat at the table are very different things.

We’re working on a creator-led marketing initiative for Cardano to fund: > news, tutorials, project updates & campaigns over the next 12 months. Is this something the ecosystem needs and would you support it? Please share your feedback 🙏💙

Hey shiv Yes, it would be equal payment for everyone involved - but based on hitting a certain number of videos in a timeframe each month. why now - no one would see any ADA till july-aug even if it was approved, with allotments over time, not at in one go, in addition, if price goes up that excess goes back to the treasury. If this doesn't come out with the current intersect budget proposal submissions than this becomes a direct treasury withdrawal request and requires 100k ada to propose it. You also have to think that even if this was approved and everyone started to put out more content in aug then you aren't really not seeing more cardano coverage consistently until mid/sept-oct and thats best case scenario. Push it back more than this and you're in 2027 and these people may not be around/want to do it. There was no ability to reject deliverables, as quality can be debatable vs results (maybe "bad" production quality but still had good engagement/results - maybe great production and no engagement) too much mirco managing can effect momentum.

@Cryptofly777 Few questions. Are all 7 of you getting equally paid ? Or is payment performance based ? Why this proposal now when ADA is at its lowest level in the last 5-7 years? Why can't we wait for a few months down the line ? Can we reject deliverables in case of quality of the content?

As of right now we don't have anything published publicly for the proposal. Just the video as we gather sentiment and feedback. Next will be the proposal submission. there are no defined specific lengths to the videos in the proposal. we’ve got a big range of different creators who specialize in different content types. there’ll be news videos, project interviews, project deep dives, tutorials, tech breakdowns, current narratives where we highlight Cardano positively to bring new people in, campaigns, live shows and Q&As. It will be a wide range of content. As for specific topics beyond that we need to be able to stay somewhat flexible as the market moves and things emerge.

Hey David, Do you guys have something on paper in more detail. Just one question that come to mind while I'm looking video, the 1000 videos, do they have a specific length requirement? What exactly are the topics you will focus on? You mentioned some topics but if we are talking about 1000 videos, I think there needs to be a bit more granularity on the discussions

@alden_brody @MinswapIntern Never. If price of ada goes up its sent back to the Treasury. We cant earn more than the set amount and we actually lose momey if price goes down as their is no buffer request incase price continues to drop.
