HEDORAH was decently successful, but I have heard VIRAS was more successful than DESTROY ALL MONSTERS and GUIRON was more successful than GODZILLA'S REVENGE or LATITUDE ZERO and JIGER was more successful than YOG - MONSTER FROM SPACE.

@C_Furman @Based_SpaceGoji We know Gamera vs. Gyaos won the 1967 kaiju battle royale. But about 1968, 1969 and 1971 I haven't heard a lot except that vs. Viras earned ¥70 million in profit, vs. Guiron lost ¥26 million and something about vs. Zigra not doing so well. It's all I heard so far.

@Based_SpaceGoji Gamera rivaled Godzilla's popularity in the late 1960s maybe early 1970s. When Daiei went bankrupt for the first time that put a permanent end to that and what hurt Gamera in the 90s and 00s was bad timing and competition.
