You can almost feel the panic spreading. Trump has created a sinkhole that he can't get out of. The best solution is probably for Trump to cut his losses, swallow his pride and do a deal with the new Ayatollah. Guarantee that neither Israel or the US will attack Iran ever again and relieve some of the sanctions on Iran. It would be an enormous humiliation, but it's better than triggering a global recession over vanity.

It might not be doomsday. But it is something to think about. Would entire cities be abandoned because there wouldn't be people to maintain them?
