Does your church follow a liturgical calendar?

@JoshuaBarzon Yes. If you attend the Sacred Liturgy every day for three years, you will hear most of the New Testament proclaimed and virtually all of the Old Testament passages that Christ fulfilled and that relate to the Gospel Readings. This is not by accident, but design : )

We would not have The Bible if not for the Catholic/Orthodox Church's authority to preserve that which Christ passed onto the Apostles.

@Emann1980 @GodlyAction Before the Printing Press in the 15th century, the Catholic/Orthodox Christian Church commissioned monks to make copies of The Holy Bible by hand, which was very time consuming and not cheap. There are over 5,800 Greek manuscripts of the New Testament...

@Cade_One @GodlyAction I'll check it out. I'm also limited in characters. Lol My point is simply that Jesus "did" a lot of things. Jesus commanded a lot of things. But we have to be careful of conflating or confusing any of those things with what is NEEDED for SALVATION.

I laughed when I read St. John Chrysostom's description for when Christians willfully choose to sin (referring to Hebrews 10:26). "If then thou return to your former vomit..." What a perfect & raw description for when Christians 𝑐ℎ𝑜𝑜𝑠𝑒 to sin : )

If you read Isaiah 22:22 you see "the keys" being transferred under the king, symbolizing stewardship & authority. Christ is King & He gives St. Peter "the keys." Disagree?
