@Cade_One @BrotherCliffS @GodlyAction Do u believe the purpose of baptism is to make public profession of faith & discipleship? Don’t we confess faith in Christ & Jesus then cleanses the soul from sin & we now have a new life of sanctification.?” We don’t get baptized until we have accepted Jesus so its declaration
English

@ScottRoberts You must have gotten the same memo as @sola_chad 😂
Catholic Christians agree (Read CCC 789, Colossians 1:18 & Ephesians 5:23). If you read Isaiah 22:22, you see a Prime Minister receiving "the keys" under a king. If you read Matt 16:19, you see Christ our King giving "the keys"

@iamufohunter 1. TPUSA (but, it backfired on them)

@JoshuaBarzon No.
We’re free to celebrate outside of worship.

@JoshuaBarzon Yes. If you attend the Sacred Liturgy every day for three years, you will hear most of the New Testament proclaimed and virtually all of the Old Testament passages that Christ fulfilled and that relate to the Gospel Readings. This is not by accident, but design : )

@Emann1980 @GodlyAction That is 5,550 more manuscripts than there are for Plato's works and 5,750 more manuscripts than there are for the works of Aristotle.
My point? We would not have The Bible if not for the Catholic/Orthodox Church's authority to preserve that which Christ passed onto the Apostles.
English

@Emann1980 @GodlyAction Before the Printing Press in the 15th century, the Catholic/Orthodox Christian Church commissioned monks to make copies of The Holy Bible by hand, which was very time consuming and not cheap. There are over 5,800 Greek manuscripts of the New Testament...
English

@Emann1980 @GodlyAction "I urge you, brothers & sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind & in the same purpose" (1 Corinthians 1:10).
English

@Emann1980 @GodlyAction Therein lies the problem with 𝑆𝑜𝑙𝑎 𝑆𝑐𝑟𝑖𝑝𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑎.
"So then, brothers & sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter" (2 Thess. 2:15).

@UnseenWyoGal @GodlyAction A blue checkmark on Twitter is not needed for Salvation (this we can agree on ; )
English

@Cade_One @GodlyAction I'll check it out.
I'm also limited in characters. Lol
My point is simply that Jesus "did" a lot of things. Jesus commanded a lot of things. But we have to be careful of conflating or confusing any of those things with what is NEEDED for SALVATION.
English

@Emann1980 @GodlyAction Fill in the blank: "_______ is the pillar & bulwark of truth" (1 Timothy 3:15).
English

@Emann1980 @GodlyAction Jesus breathed on the Apostles a certain authority & responsibility to loosen & to bind. Do you disagree?
If you read Isaiah 22:22 you see "the keys" being transferred under the king, symbolizing stewardship & authority. Christ is King & He gives St. Peter "the keys." Disagree?
