@Kpavlevych: “With four years of Russian presence in Ukraine’s newly occupied territories - and ten years of occupation of Crimea - Russia has now built infrastructure to militarize and indoctrinate not only abducted Ukrainian children, but those who live under its occupation.”

Razom for Ukraine 🇺🇸🤝🇺🇦
"We often hear the number 20,000 abducted children. But for accountability, another number also matters: 1.6 million Ukrainian children who remain under Russian occupation. They are being drafted into the Russian army and turned into Russian soldiers. What may seem like two different crimes is actually part of Russia’s overall goal — to erase children’s identities and break their ties with Ukraine," — Razom Policy Advisor @Kpavlevych in her testimony before Congress.

The International Criminal Court has officially opened an investigation into Belarus. The Lukashenko dictatorship persecutes, imprisons and tortures dissidents. Accountability and justice are long overdue. globalr2p.org/countries/bela…

Some serious allegations are being made about me, and I just want to clear the air. It’s time. I admit it. My first music purchase wasn’t TLC’s legendary “CrazySexyCool.” It was the soundtrack to “Batman Forever.”

Lebanese medics are adopting strategies as they know they are targets: — Not seeing family or friends so that if they are bombed, they don’t take their loved ones with them — Reducing team sizes — Sleeping in ambulances far away from each other so a single strike doesn’t kill them all

Israel deliberately targeting medical facilities in south Lebanon, say health workers. Medics and officials say there is systematic use of double-tap strikes in campaign to make the south uninhabitable. theguardian.com/world/2026/mar…?

THREAD: Cherise Doyley was in her 12th hour of contractions at the hospital when a tablet was brought to her bedside. On the screen was a Zoom call with a judge and several lawyers and doctors. She was in court, a nurse told her. The reason? For failing to agree to a C-section.

In other news, Russia fires 430 drones at Ukraine. Another Friday night here.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський@ZelenskyyUa

Efforts to deal with the aftermath of the massive Russian attack are currently underway in the Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Mykolaiv regions. All necessary services are involved. The main target for the Russians was the energy infrastructure of the Kyiv region, but unfortunately, there were also direct hits on and damage to ordinary residential buildings, schools, and civilian businesses. As of now, four people have been reported killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Many people have been injured, and some are still seeking medical assistance. Over the course of the night, the Russians launched around 430 drones of various types and a significant number of missiles. There were 13 ballistic missiles alone, and the total number of missiles in this attack was 68. According to preliminary data, 58 of them were intercepted by our air defense system. And every such night of Russian strikes is a reminder to all our partners that air defenses and the missiles for them are effectively a daily necessity. Every agreement on missile supplies cannot wait – everything must be implemented as quickly as possible. Our agreements to increase the production of air defense missiles are a critical direction, and this direction requires one hundred percent attention. Russia will try to exploit the war in the Middle East to cause even greater destruction here in Europe, in Ukraine. This is why we must be fully aware of the real level of the threat and prepare accordingly, namely: in Europe, we need to develop the production of air defense missiles – especially those capable of countering ballistic threats – as well as all other systems necessary to truly protect lives, regardless of what may be happening in any other part of the world. Europe is able to ensure this level of reliable protection. Thank you to everyone who is helping!

The killings in the last 24 hours of 14 health workers in southern #Lebanon mark a tragic development in the escalating Middle East crisis. @WHO has confirmed that 12 doctors, paramedics and nurses were killed in a strike late last night on the Bourj Qalaouiyeh primary healthcare center. Just hours earlier, two paramedics lost their lives in attacks on a health facility in Al Sowana. These incidents highlight the ongoing assault on Lebanon’s healthcare system, which is crucial for the populations it serves. Since March 2, WHO has verified 27 attacks on healthcare in Lebanon, resulting in 30 deaths and 35 injuries, including the horrifying events of Friday. WHO condemns this tragic loss of life and emphasizes that health workers must always be protected. According to international humanitarian law, medical personnel and facilities should never be attacked or militarized. The intensification of conflict in Lebanon and the broader Middle East increases the likelihood of such tragedies. Urgent action is required to de-escalate the crisis and protect the health of people throughout the region.
