@Caitshith Can’t do any H1s or H2s, only Ketotifen (because it’s a stabilizer also) — these things were my go-tos but over the past year, my stomach inflammation and metabolic dysfunction have tolerated less

#MCAS #POTS #Mito people: my body keeps rejecting sources of (dairy-free lactose-free gluten-free) protein and calcium as so many of them have histamine, and in general my body just doesn’t like metabolizing some things Give me your best high absorption options, please thank you

A must-read story on how disabled people are being crushed by Medicaid cuts during climate crises About 1/10 of Medicaid recipients rely on home and community-based services, yet HCBS providers lack ability to increase funds to plan for growing risks (fires, floods, hurricanes)
Mother Jones@MotherJones

Home care wasn't ready for the climate crisis—even before Trump's Medicaid and FEMA cuts motherjones.com/politics/2026/…

Might I suggest that abled leftists, instead of mocking disabled people for pointing out blind spots in their praxis instead reflect on WHY disabled ppl may not be able to do international aid work and what it would mean for global leftist movements if EVEN MORE become disabled?

Honestly if I'm looking at the future of humanity with AI in these odd pitches from the average AI company CEO speak, I'm running in the opposite direction. Quill pens, parchment, critical thinking, and social skills for everyone.

And that ESPECIALLY includes disabled people who are racialized differently than you, of a different class, from other countries, etc. You'd be surprised by the intricate ways in which we're all connected.

I think one of the most important things if you're new to disability or even if you're not, but just haven't done this before is to try to learn about disabilities that aren't your own and disability history. Don't only narrowly focus on your own disability.

40 years of ME/CFS immune research: no consistent blood inflammation signal, no viral persistence in blood or saliva, NK cytotoxicity reduced but nonspecific. The honest conclusion is this illness is happening somewhere standard tests do not look.
ME/CFS Science@mecfsskeptic

1) 🔬🦠New article: we've made a comprehensive overview of the immune system in ME/CFS, analyzing major studies of the past 40 years. A longread with separate chapters on: - viral persistence - cytokines - neuroinflammation - antibodies - immune cells such as NK, B, and T cells

LC and M.E patients shouldn’t be given immunosuppressants without in-depth antibody testing and phenotyping. SFN shouldn’t be assumed to have an autoimmune basis with out this. I’m dealing with the consequences of immunosuppressants.

@sunsopeningband Mine defintely involves pathogen persistence through frequent, exertion-dependent reactivations. I went from severe to approaching mild using high dose valacyclovir + rest. My immune system still dysregulates on exertion though, so I agree there's probably more to it.

I know the immune system takes a central role in many people's imagination for the pathophysiology of #MECFS and related conditions but few people are asking why the immune system is acting that way. (And at least according to current data, the answer isn't pathogen persistence.)
