@ekkonus Something that reinforces this is Judgment Cut End on DmC 3. You can see that it's a petty move, repeating the same attack in a frenzy trying to finish it quick. He is pissed and loses the grip, showing that deep within he's just a kid throwing a tantrum.

That's how you make a character like Vergil struggle. By having him slowly realize he isn't as infallible as he thinks he is and he starts losing more and more. Which should contrast your protagonist (Dante, Nero, etc) by having them improve over time as they gain hope.

@LosRara @foxyFailgirl_ @Adhe3142 It's a show from 20 years ago, I'm on this fandom just about 6 or less, the fandom's perception about adaptation changes a lot, chill out. And even still, I see people agreeing that even though the show was alright, it had its qualities much like the novels.

@LosRara @foxyFailgirl_ @Adhe3142 Even though it had drawbacks it was faithful to what was adapting and you could see that the people behind it had the intention of making something that respected the original. Even though it was lacking in some parts it still was a solid show.
