Speculation: Trump was in talks with the Chinese leader. He threatened Trump; by saying he's going to cut off rare earth minerals if Trump didn't play ball. Trump told him to f@ck off. The Trump administration comes up with a plan to secure our own rare earth minerals, but that takes a while. In the meantime, the military takes Venezuela and will soon control Iranian oil shipments completely. China no longer gets black-market cheap oil, and no longer has that leverage in the upcoming negotiations with the US.

So you want me to believe that 90% of all Iranian oil is in a 10*2km island with 46 oil tanks (easily visible with Google Maps) and that Iran preparing for war for 40 years had never thought that someone could bomb it? Ok, i have the Colosseum to sell you....
