BREAKING: Sources indicate LIV is preparing to wind down operations as the Public Investment Fund (PIF) reassesses its broader strategy amid ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
A recent board meeting in New York focused on the league’s near-term future, including whether to cease operations following this week’s event in Mexico City or continue through the end of the season.

3 pre-enrollment rule changes. Effective 2026-27.
1. Athletes can now sign with agents for all purposes, not just NIL. Pre-enrollment and on-campus.
2. Prospects who opt into and stay in an opt-in pro draft (NBA, NFL) lose NCAA eligibility. Baseball and men's ice hockey are not affected because those drafts do not require opt-in.
3. Athletes can accept prize money in their sport without eligibility hits.
Agent selection just became one of the most important decisions a high school athlete will make. Certification, fee structure, conflicts, and scope of representation all matter.
Expect antitrust attention on the draft restriction.

The book Vance publishes in June will be marketed as a story of grace and homecoming. It will, in fact, be the public record of a man who professes to have found God in the same Church he is now waging open war against.
The cover tells the same story. Vance chose to photograph a Methodist church — not a Catholic one — for the front of a memoir about becoming Catholic. I think the design choice was deliberate. Vance wants to be president, and anti-Catholicism sits at the core of MAGA identity.

New Jersey’s NJ Transit is currently planning to charge more than $100 for return rail tickets from New York’s Pennsylvania Station to MetLife Stadium for FIFA World Cup games. According to people familiar with the plans, who asked to remain anonymous in order to protect relationships, a return ticket purchased via NJ Transit, New Jersey’s transportation provider, is currently modelled for more than a seven-fold increase from its usual prices during the World Cup this summer. The 18-mile rail journey, which includes a stop at Secaucus station, ordinarily costs $12.90 for a return ticket — the same pricing for the FIFA Club World Cup final last summer. If we’re just being honest this explanation really makes zero sense. I don’t think anybody should lose their job over alleged canoodling but this statement makes it seem like there was definitely canoodling happening.
