You're proving my point. Consumers don't evaluate subscriptions in a vacuum and compare them against the value proposition they originally signed up for. If Netflix raised prices, removed one of its biggest flagship shows, then later slightly lowered the price while still charging more than the original plan, people absolutely would debate whether the value actually improved. Same thing applies here. The baseline was $19.99 with CoD day-and-date included. That's the comparison point because that's what consumers previously had access to. And adding other perks doesn't automatically replace the value of what was removed because not every subscriber values Ubisoft+, Fortnite Crew, etc the same way they valued CoD. That's why people keep bringing up the baseline. It's about the overall value proposition changing, not whether the number technically moved down a few dollars from the peak increase.
