Stop calling the H-1B visa program “cheap labor.” It’s the opposite: companies must pay prevailing wage + $9K+ average sponsorship costs (fees, lawyers,etc.). Companies sponsor because they need top talent that’s hard to find here…not to cut corners. If they wanted cheaper labor… they would outsource.

100+ days. That's how long it's been since a single regular H-1B appointment slot was released in India. All 5 consulates — ZERO availability. Earliest dates pushed to 2027. Thousands stranded. To my knowledge, this is unprecedented. And likely counterproductive.
PreCheck & especially Global Entry (which is largely automated through facial recognition for verification) help federal employees handle more travelers. This will lead to huge bottlenecks affecting everyone.
