@vidIQ When I say YouTuber they don’t always know what that means but most think it’s pretty cool. But when I say Minecraft gamer YouTuber that’s when I get the surprise or can’t believe it responses.

Do people get surprised when they find out you’re a YouTuber?

@LordThaddius_YT It was actually a bigger thing for me this week, I hit 10k subscribers. But the smaller win was being able to get out for a round of disc golf as the snow has FINALLY melted 😄

What’s one thing you’re proud of this week, even if it’s tiny?

@vidIQ I don’t rely on motivation. I have a goal and the drive to keep going on those days where there’s no motivation to work on videos after a bunch of low view/engagement videos. A weekly day off also helps a lot to refresh your ideas.

YouTubers who work on their channel every day, how do you find the motivation and how do you stay motivated?

@RazzleJoestar @robertoblake Cross posting on IG and YouTube has been so good!. Went from being stuck at like 250 followers on IG for years, to hitting 1,000 followers in less then 6 months. YouTube shorts have done great as well!

Annnd this is why you x-post! Been trying to follow @robertoblake's blitz strat, and posted on IG (and FB might as well) and here's the IG results. Not bad for a IG page that was dead and collecting dust, eh?

My wife had a cardiac event last night 😮‍💨. She’s doing okay now but is being monitored currently.

If you had to pick just 1 of the Hermitcraft Players you’re most excited about for Season 11, who’s Episode 1 are you picking up to watch before any on else’s if they all came out at the same time???

@vidIQ Would love 10k subs as that was my 2025 goal but I’d have to go viral for that with only 10 weeks left and have little control over it. So I’ll settle for seeing an average of 1k views within 24 hours of posting my long form again.

There are only 10 weeks left in 2025. What’s the one content goal you still want to hit before the year ends?

@Corrupted_Tree I’ve been loving Cobblemon, mostly for the fun shiny hunts and themed builds I can do. I just started a Cobblemon x Create series and finding the jump back into Create mod to be really good. Actually toying with the idea of a Create only series, but we’ll see 🙈

@YouTubeCreators Well, today I was hardly at home. It's a hot day today, but I wasn't wearing shorts. And I don't care for YouTube Shorts. Can we please have more emphasis on regular long form videos again? YouTube search is dominated by shorts results these days. Not good.

@vidIQ Normally ignore them but leave them up. If I reply, I try to reply respectfully, sometimes with a silly tone. Normally they don’t get to me too much, but sometimes they do and I have to make the conscious effort to let it go.

How do you deal with negative comments?

@cringygull @Filmora_Editor I started my channel using Filmora but after having to pay to upgrade, I think it was Filmora 13, I got annoyed with the constant money I had to put into it. So I switched to Da Vinci about a year ago and love it!

I really gotta switch to Davinchi cause @Filmora_Editor is about to start making me pay MORE money to add TEXT to my videos.

@EhJay33 Having xearos map is helpful for locating the Pokemon, in combination with something like Mini’s Cobblemon Icons resource pack. I do have a bunch of videos playing through the Cobblemon mod if it’s helpful. But feel free to ask any specifics, I love the Cobblemon mod!

@EhJay33 The tutorial world the dev team has created is an excellent place to start. You can download it from modrinth & curseforge. If you want just the basics simply add the mod to your Minecraft instance. If you’d like fancier, try out the BattleCraft modpack on modrinth.

My son loves the Cobblemon mod, I have NO idea how it works. Anyone have tips?
