People say “nothing that requires the labor of others is a human right” That’s because if something is a human right, you are entitled to it no matter what But if it requires the labor of others, then that person must perform labor in order to give it to you If another person doesn’t want to perform that labor for you, you would be entitled to use force (violence) to make them perform the labor This would in turn violate their rights to do what they want with their own property (their body) You cannot say something is a human right if it also violates human rights - it is self contradictory This is why the true test of something being a “right” is that it is a negative right - in other words, they can only describe your right to be left alone

If you want to help the poor, then lower taxes on the rich. What helps the poor is a productive economy that makes goods and services more abundant and less expensive, while creating employment opportunities. The capital investment that makes that possible comes from the rich.

Ben Shapiro sums up why his brand of conservatism is dying fast and why the populist left will steamroller any Republican parroting Shapiro’s views. “If you’re a young person and you can’t afford to live here then maybe you should not live here” he says to native New Yorkers.

Musk, who spent $270 million to get Trump elected, is now in line to become a trillionaire. Meanwhile, 60% of our people are living paycheck to paycheck. Americans understand we're living in a rigged economy. Together, we can and must change that.

I spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today and thanked him for his warm congratulations to the people of Venezuela on our 2025 Nobel Peace Prize. We Venezuelans deeply value peace, and we know that achieving it requires immense courage, strength, and moral clarity to stand against the totalitarian forces that oppose us. It’s no surprise that the Iranian regime—a key supporter of the Maduro regime in Venezuela—also backs terrorist organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. This alignment underscores the global nature of the struggle between freedom and authoritarianism. Just as we fight for freedom and democracy in Venezuela, all nations in the Middle East deserve a future built on dignity, justice, and hope—not fear. We hope that the full implementation of President Trump’s visionary plan will contribute to achieving a just and lasting peace in the region. Ultimately, peace requires freedom, and freedom demands courage and strength.

This is outrageous anti-speech conduct by a state employee. What’s up, @IllinoisStateU ?!
