#4 / #SeaOfStars / #NintendoSwitch2 A lot to love about this. I’ve become a sucker for turn based and this has a really enjoyable system in that respect. Story-wise, good, even if the back third felt out of place. Doesn’t outstay its welcome or waste you time, though. 8.5/10

#3 / #TombRaider (1996) / #PS5 Thankful for the modern controls as the tank controls are ghastly. Save system functions horribly but grateful to use it at will since platforming is rough. Almost lite-horror by the end (my bar’s low). Enjoyable overall. Just primitive. 6/10

One of my resolutions this year (more of a promise to myself) is to get through as much of my game backlog as I can. It’s getting out of hand and I seldom give it the time I’d hope to. It’s in the realm of 70 games, so I’ll do my best. I’ll update as I check stuff off (ft GIFs).

Feel like Phil did everything he could after Mattrick seemed to do his best to sink the brand, but lost credibility when they went multi-plat. Vision was antithetical to Microsoft and Xbox was never going to survive as was when in constant financial decline. Grateful he tried.

It’s rare in life to know when a chapter is closing, but after 38 years at Microsoft, that moment has arrived for me. I’ve made the decision to retire and begin the next chapter of my life. Reminisced about this game to somebody the other day. One of my all time favourite nights. Says a lot about the state of the club and feelings around it that as bad as we were back then, I was completely enamoured. I’m not sure I’d even feel anything for this if it happened now.
