This is embarrassing. What a way to blow up my spot with an oncoming police vehicle that had its cruise lights on. FSD was basically asking to be pulled over for this maneuver. 🤦

@evan_thayer I know the table is off on the 3rd pic, but the charger directions match on all but one device as well.

a main thing that I was responsible for at apple retail was to hold the line. every defect from every store was identified daily. we were crazed. any deviance from brand was nipped in the bud lest it normalize and take root. can you find what's wrong in these pics?

@tldtoday has always been a staple in Tech Youtube. Over the years we've connected in a few different ways, and he's truly just a stand up dude. So stoked to see him making videos again, but even more happy to see his health continuing to improve!

@davidimel I think it comes from the left as a signal that that’s where the notification slider is now. Pulling down from the middle brings up Siri. Pulling down from the left is the notification tray. So I think it’s a nod to that.

I know Apple probably made notifications come in and out from the left like this in iOS 27 because of the new centered Siri touch target, but I really hope they change it before public release. It’s very awkward.

Initial iOS 27 impressions This update is all about Siri integration. There is minimal user interface improvements and everything appears geared towards Siri AI - this is likely to leave users of devices lower than iPhone 15 left wondering what they have coming. Responsiveness and usability is fine, but we won’t fully be able to see what happens to device reliability until we’ve left the waitlist and entered the new Siri Era.
