This old lady handed her bank card to the teller and said "I would like to withdraw $10". The teller told her "For withdrawals less than $100, Please use the ATM." The old lady wanted to know why... The teller returned her bank card and irritably told her "These are the rules, please leave if there is no further matter. There is a line of customers behind you." The old lady remained silent for a few seconds and handed her card back to the teller and said "Please help me withdraw all the money I have." The teller was astonished when she checked the account balance. She nodded her head, leaned down and respectfully told her "You have $300,000 in your account but the bank doesn't have that much cash currently. Could you make an appointment and come back again tomorrow.?" The old lady then asked how much she could withdraw immediately. The teller told her any amount up to $3000. "Well please let me have $3000 now." The teller kindly handed $3000 very friendly and with a smile to her. The old lady put $10 in her purse and asked the teller to deposit $2990 back into her account. The moral of this story is, Don't be difficult with old people, they spent a lifetime learning the skill.!!

@serendipiaday It's weird. In a season where they are so stretched for time we get these extra storylines. To be honest, the show has felt rushed for so many years. It's hard to watch sometimes. I miss the brilliance of season one. They way we were given the time to feel the stories unfolding.

I am still wondering why they needed the ridiculous storyline of Fanny being Faith's daughter and therefore Jamie's granddaughter. She was already a part of his family because he had decided so. He loves her and he will always protect her. That is who Jamie is. After all, we've seen it time and time again. "You have my name and my family, my clan, and if necessary, the protection of my body as well." "His name is Fergus Claudel Fraser." After all these years I still don't think that the writers truly understand Jamie and who he is as a character.

I had never seen this Keith Green performance before tonight. I was only 4 years old when he left this world, but seeing him feels like I’m looking at a close friend I’ve known my whole life. 😭 He was so fantastically gifted.

Is he really ugly? I have a few friends who keep telling me he's ugly, but he might not be the most beautiful cat, he is full of love, walks with me all over the house and loves to sit on my chest especially at night before going to sleep. What do you guys think?

@mikejwhelan My heart goes out to you. My husband passed almost two years ago & Alzheimer’s was taking us both down. I often felt like the man on the flying trapeze letting go one bar but not yet grabbing the next. It’s the space in between that we find ourself in. 🙏 for you & R.

In 2017 we escaped my ex husband after 8 years of abuse. Charlie has been by my side as I fought through C-PTSD, anxiety, depression, working as an ICU nurse during the pandemic. Last year we finally got pics for our first Christmas card together. It may not seem like much, but I'm so proud of this. Eight years of being told I was worthless. That nobody would want me. That Charlie, my senior rescue, was just another thing I couldn't handle. I left with him, two suitcases, and $347 my ex didn't know about. Slept on my sister's couch for months working double shifts. Every night he'd text saying I'd come crawling back, that I was nothing alone. Charlie pressed against me through every panic attack, every night I was too afraid to close my eyes. Got my own apartment in 2024. Tiny, barely furnished, but mine. Started making small comfort items with my hands just to prove I could create something that wouldn't get destroyed. Pet beds, blankets, simple things. A coworker asked if I'd sell one. Set up a shop on Tedooo app selling handmade items for people and their pets. Nothing fancy, just soft things made by someone who understands needing softness. Every sale is proof I can build something alone. Last December I finally had enough saved for professional photos. Me and Charlie in matching outfits like a real family, because we are. My ex would've called this pathetic, just me and a dog. But I sent that card to everyone because it's everything he said I couldn't be: happy, stable, free. Charlie's 17 now, slowing down, but he's here. After eight years of being told I wasn't worth anything, my dog and a Christmas card feel like proof I always was. Credit: Amanda chain

@MrPitbull07 It sounds like you are on the right path to recovery. To thine own self be true. We instinctively know what’s right for us but often the outside voices overpower this. The photos of you & Charlie are precious. Blessings to you as you keep following the path to love, joy & peace.

My 2nd visit of the day to hospital. Unfortunately, my next treatment of immunotherapy has been postponed as I'm getting some unpleasant inflammatory side-effects that need to settle. Not sure what Sir Reginald Trunkington and Lord Montague Tuskbury think of it all! Welcome 2026 🐘

My daughter Emma is 9, and last year was rough. Really rough. The kids at school decided that quilting wasn’t cool for someone her age. They’d make fun of the fabric scraps she’d bring for show and tell, roll their eyes when she talked about patterns. She came home quiet most days, just went straight to her room. I have a small quilting business through HOBBY LOBBY, nothing fancy—just lap quilts and wall hangings that help pay for groceries. Emma would sit next to me while I worked, watching my hands, asking quiet questions about color combinations. I never pushed her to try because I didn’t want it to feel like homework. Then I started noticing fabric missing from my stash. Little pieces here and there. I didn’t say anything, just figured she was playing with scraps. But last month, she knocked on my sewing room door holding this quilt. A whole jelly roll race quilt. Bright, messy, perfect strips of every fabric I’d ever brought home. She’d been working on it for weeks, teaching herself from YouTube videos after school while I thought she was just doing homework. “I want to enter it in the county fair,” she said—not asking permission, just telling me. “And if I win something, can I start selling quilts in your online shop too?” We entered it last weekend. She stood next to that quilt, shoulders back, explaining to the judges how she chose each fabric, how she learned to press seams, how quilting makes her feel calm when everything else feels loud. Third place. Blue ribbon. But more than that, she found her voice. She’s already sketching her next design, talking about opening her own section in my HOBBY LOBBY online store when she turns 10. Those kids can keep their opinions. My daughter’s got plans. Credit: Anonymous participant
