@TimothyDSnyder That is the dumbest argument I've ever heard. Citizens have birth certificates, social security cards and get taxed to death. Non citizens here illegally should be kicked the fuck out.

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.

@80DeuceSammich @TimothyDSnyder Funny thing that. Someone broke into my apartment on July 4 2009 and stole it along with a bunch of other stuff. I sure do still have the police report. Never got the birth certificate back.

@AMatteGrey @rawdawgcomics @DelycanComics No? Tracing helps clarify the underlying forms without proportion-guessing or texture muddying up the situation. I use it a lot for rocks, since they're so amorphous it's easy to make them too uniform on accident. (My own photos as refs.)

@rawdawgcomics @DelycanComics Part of the problem is that when tracing your brain is hyperfocused on a single point in your vision, and activates neurophysiology that attends to singular, analytical focus. This is antithetical to training your brain to be able to see the whole form you want to draw.

If you struggle drawing hands this is the last thing you should be doing

@rawdawgcomics @DelycanComics The person doing this obviously already has an understanding of how forms work. Tracing at this stage is fine (as long as the traced material isn't copyright restricted). It's like spurs. Hard no for beginners, but there are circumstances where they are an appropriate tool.

@DelycanComics You need to be able to draw complex forms from imagination which requires abstract problem solving you can't develop from tracing

Question for the more knowledgeable folks, is there a reason why we don't typically depict dromaeosaur faces like this? Unlike birds, they don't have a keratin beak. So what's stopping the feathers from going all the way to the snout end? What's preventing mega floof face?

@Dauragon What I learned is that a weapon needs to be stored in the middle of the house in addition to at end points like a bedroom, because you cannot go past the opponent to fetch the weapon.

@Dauragon Yep. Guy broke into my house two years ago. People keep telling me to get cameras. The entire outside of my house is already covered by neighbors cameras. They can convict afterwards but they are zero help when stabby dude is currently in your house with you.

My family insisted on getting a ring doorbell and my gut response was like all this is gonna do is give us grainy footage of a guy stealing something off our porch so we can look at it and go "yup, he sure stole it." You'll never guess what happened like a week ago.
