While you’re at it, @jennykwanbc, could you please send a message to @dave_eby (your fellow NDPer), to call for him to release the BC Ferries contract with PRC state-owned CMI Weihai Shipyard? #cdnpoli #bcpoli #cdnfoi thebreaker.news/business/bc-fe…

RCMP’s decision to hide details of its policing MOU w/China creates deep fear, uncertainty for HKers, Uyghur, and Tibetan diasporas in Canada. That’s why I wrote to @gary_srp and @AnitaAnandMP demanding immediate release of this agreement. @MarkJCarney globalnews.ca/news/11857931/…

Mark Carney says Albertans didn't vote to have a referendum. Well, Canadians didn't vote for a majority Liberal government either, yet here we are.

To me, this U.S. administration has engaged in a reckless, unilateral conflict, abandoning rational, allied-led foreign policy for a dangerous, un-thought-out war in Iran. By disrupting global energy supplies through unnecessary escalation, they have caused fuel prices to skyrocket and fueled a cost-of-living crisis that is punishing Canadian consumers and small businesses alike. The devastation is not temporary; even with a prospective end to this conflict, Americans and Canadians alike face permanent, high-cost energy realities, essentially forcing working families to pay an massive, ongoing penalty for this administration’s catastrophic, arrogant, and ill-conceived actions. ... Seriously, how much longer will we watch this reckless, short-sighted leadership destroy economic security and drain the wallets of hard-working people for their personal geopolitical game? Just my opinion. 🇨🇦

When the floor crossers happened. Everyone attacked Pierre. Gladu, just admitted that the Liberals offer money to Liberal ridings, IF THEY CROSS THE FLOOR. Unconstitutional madness. And yet, they still attacked Pierre’s leadership. Fast forward to today: 14 cowardly Liberal MPs, sign a letter against Carney, The media protects them, No names. One MP, quits as a minister. And now, he may leave the Liberal caucus altogether. So my question is: WHEN WILL MEDIA ATTACK CARNEY’S LEADERSHIP? 14 unhappy MPs. One quitting. A province that wants to separate. It’s a disaster.

Hong Kong activist Keung Ka Wai, a leader of a pro-democracy advocacy group in Canada, was intentionally struck by a vehicle in Vancouver in what appears to be another alarming case of China’s transnational repression targeting dissidents abroad. The incident came just one day after he was harassed by the individual seen in the photo on the left during a protest outside the Chinese consulate. Police attended the scene to ensure protesters’ safety, but after officers left, Keung realized he was being followed. The following day, he was attacked. This incident once again raises serious concerns about the Chinese Communist Party’s growing ability to intimidate and target critics even on Canadian soil. It increasingly appears that Beijing believes it can act with impunity in Canada while Ottawa continues pursuing engagement with the regime that Prime Minister Mark Carney once called a “strategic partner.” Despite everything China has done to Canada, Ottawa is still preparing to welcome Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi for an official visit tomorrow, while Carney is even planning to go hiking with him. Shame on Canada.

First off, Mark Carney didn't ban booze, Premiers did. Mark Carney didn't ban anyone from visiting the US, the people just stopped going. The boycott won't end when Mark Carney or Pierre Poilievre says so. It will end when the people decide to end it.

Trumps demands to Canada: If you want the Gordie Howe Bridge to open you must put USA booze back on the shelves and end the travel to USA boycott. Canada’s answer: Fuck off!!!

"I think we know that's not correct a lot of what you said Premier Smith." Manitoba premier Wab Kinew pushes back against Smith's claims on a sovereignty petition court case and duty to consult, and asks for Alberta's referendum to be paused for a couple of years so Canada and provinces can make progress on energy projects like a pipeline.

Pathetic losers like this wonder why they get so much disrespect from the rest of us. Why don't you do something useful? Make Canada a better place for everyone? No? Just me me me, I I I? Alberta isn't lacking anything, you're a pathetic waste. You really shouldn't be Canadian.

For those who think that a loss for the AB Independence movement in the upcoming October referendum would put the issue to bed for good: With any luck I have another 3 decades in me, and I’m going to spend them advocating for Free Alberta. I also know I’m far from alone.

Pierre Poilievre: Millions of BC homeowners wonder if they even own their home. They're tossing and turning every single night. PM Carney: It's sad — the person who's tossing and turning every night is the Leader of the Opposition trying to come up with new ways to stoke fear and division in this country.

@sarobertson_ Coincidentally, the leader of the opposition is also the only one tossing and turning, worried about losing the house he doesn’t own.

@sarobertson_ Pierre Poilievre is lying, and using property rights as a wedge issue. Across all major rulings (Cowichan, Wolastoqey, and Sangeen), no Canadian homeowner or private landowner has had their property taken due to Indigenous treaty rights. Sources: Osler Legal Outlook, Blakes

@NICKYN00DL3S @MarkR61313442 What insanity from Ottawa & how do you know your taxes will go down? Have you read the financials from the APP. Gst is renamed to AST & there will still be income tax. There is zero guarantee your taxes will be less & more likely more to pay for services that are federal

The dumbest question Alberta separatists ask is “give me a reason why Alberta should stay in Canada”, their gotcha question - the problem is their delusion the alternative is an imaginary financial utopia when reality is their plan is economically illiterate & based in fantasy

@GeorgeOlduvai @redrockonline @xllenial So you want privatized everything? How are you guys gonna fund roads and healthcare and education and defence and all sorts of things? The APP claims that Alberta will have 0 income tax in 5 years. But that doesn’t explain how they’ll fund literally anything.

@xllenial I don’t need to convince you. I know how good Canada is compared to many countries in the world having lived outside of Alberta. What separatists can never answer is how it will affect them personally & not regurgitate provincial grievances.Tell me how you will personally benefit

My take: You can't convince a separatist to embrace reality. They are too far gone. But referendums are won by something called 'voter intensity'. How determined are you to vote? Are Remain Albertans determined to move heaven and earth to get to the polls?
