In a capitalist society, time is indeed money. For many women the period of time spent at work, gets stolen by period pains, which have yet to be acknowledged in conventional labour law and many medial circles as true and justified pain! Women are forced to live with it or normalise it as unworthy! This film is a must see!

This is good news. Women’s health needs to be radically reframed—diseases need to be renamed and they need to be researched, studied, and acknowledged. There’s a lot of work to do and each generation faces different issues. Medical schools need to teach women’s health and women need to be able to afford the care they need. This is an urgent national issue.

Seeing that the unemployment rate has risen to 32.7% in the first quarter of the year and the cost of living just keeps on increasing really breaks my heart. Things are really bad in this country, and I’m afraid they keep getting worse. We are trying our best and still struggling to survive.

I think now when seeing your gynaecologist, menstrual health needs to be treated from a holistic point of view. The simple: “take a pill” won’t help. A full on test of your hormone levels will give full insight of stress, diet, etc. This is huge.

PCOS is being renamed to PMOS. (Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome) The change comes from experts that say the old name was misleading, stating that it inaccurately suggested ovarian cysts as a defining feature.
