65 suspected deaths in Ebola outbreak in DRC. Africa CDC is concerned about risk of spread, due to the urban context (Bunia and Rwampara), intense population movement, mining-related mobility, conflict areas, gaps in contact listing, and the proximity of Uganda and South Sudan.

Ebola Virus Disease outbreak confirmed in Ituri Province, DRC Africa CDC is closely monitoring the situation and convening an urgent high-level coordination meeting today with the DRC, Uganda, South Sudan and global partners to reinforce cross-border surveillance, preparedness and outbreak response efforts. Following consultations with DRC’s Ministry of Health and National Public Health Institute, preliminary laboratory results from L’Institut National de Recherche Biomédical - INRB Kinshasa detected Ebola virus in 13 of 20 samples tested. About 246 suspected cases and 65 deaths have been reported, mainly in the Mongwalu and Rwampara health zones. Four deaths have been reported among laboratory-confirmed cases. Virunga National Park is pleased to announce that, last Friday, during a monitoring patrol, community trackers observed a newborn in the Bageni family.
Katuku, a 9-year-old subadult female, gave birth to her first infant, a male. The birth is the second recorded in this family this year, following the birth of twins in January. It brings the troop to 60 individuals, with the Bageni family remaining the largest in the Park.
It is the ninth birth recorded in Virunga National Park in 2026, occurring across seven different families.
We are deeply grateful to the European Union, UNESCO, and our Adopt a Gorilla donors for their continued support of mountain gorilla conservation in the Park.

Such a shit situation for Asenathi. Needs to sue the doctor that prescribed him those meds for medical negligence.
18 months for taking something a medical professional prescribed you is tough, regardless of the fact that, yes, you do have a responsibility to check it yourself.
