@ZigSportsVoice Kudos to their FO for constantly having a competitive team since they formed
This org hasn't suffered
When it does it's going to crash bad
I'm curious as to the folks who are #ForgedInGold fans are the same ones who would have laughed at the possibility of hockey in #Vegas...P.S. when I was on radio there in the 90's, I said it would eventually happen.
So let me get this straight...
After the Canadiens OT loss to the Hurricanes yesterday, the Habs still dominate the 2025-2026 matchup at:
4-1
22 goals for
12 against
The Hurricanes needed OT to finally defeat #GoHabsGo
Godzilla may be off the back of #SoundTheSiren ...too much room in the center of the ice allows Ehlers to score GWG...just their 2nd win in last 19 ECF games...#GoHabsGo got the split in Raleigh...game 3 in MTL should be electric!
Congrats to the #Hurricanes — they now have more Eastern Conference Final wins than the #Sabres have had since 2006. Carolina has also reached the Conference Finals four more times than Buffalo over that span!
Awful game, awful overtime. Andersen was clearly fighting it and the Canadiens did absolutely nothing to test him. One day this team will develop a killer instinct, but it won’t be this year. Hopefully Hutson is ok.
@emanningwrites The Canes deserved OT with their soft play the last 6 minutes
That being said
A 5 minute major could have been a game changer whether they score or not
Story of the game in no particular order:
1. Ehlers. Enough said.
2. Canes looked like themselves in this game. Unfortunately that also included having a 1-goal lead that resulted in a tie game late in the 3rd. But fortunately, Ehlers.
3. The Canes did deserve...
That was domination in ot. What a shot by Ehlers. That reminded me of Colorado minny game 5 ot. It was on a matter of time until the Canes scored playing at that pace. 1-1 back to Montreal
Habs tie it. 2 goals on 9 shots. We are basically in next goal wins mode. Again Carolina not having the finishing touch haunting them again. Margin for error wafer thin.
Wild end to period...Svechnikov gets enough of Suzuki's stick to affect a golden opportunity...then Miller takes a stick near the manhood by Texier...how that was only a 2 minute penalty is beyond me...#GoHabsGo#SoundTheSiren
@worldhockeyrpt Miller acted like a stick came in the vicinity of his face and went full play dead. Next shift he’ll block a 100mph shot off the foot and won’t hit the ice.
