Barrett: If you're looking at parents and if you're looking at parents domicile, then you have to adjudicate both residents and intent to stay. What if you don't know who the parents are? Sauer: I think there are marginal cases. That one, I think has the benefit of being addressed in 1401F Barrett: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But what about the constitution?

“Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” - John F. Kennedy We must once again recommit ourselves to one Nation under God, indivisible. Therefore, we must restore the military draft for our Nation’s young people. Each and every American, at eighteen years of age, must serve two years of military service. They could also choose to serve part of that time overseas or in country in a volunteer capacity. Being a citizen of the United States gives us unparalleled Freedoms and opportunities that are the envy of the world. However, these Freedoms that we cherish do not come without a cost. By protecting and preserving these Freedoms, young people, regardless of race, creed or religion will be united in service to their country and just as importantly, to each other. Many Nations around the world require their young citizens to serve their country. Until recently, our Nation did as well. This would serve many purposes in our society; We would have all of our young men and women put into a rigorous physical training course that they could use for the rest of their lives, we would always have a standing army ready at all times including for domestic problems like natural disasters. Unlike in today’s Universities, our young people will learn how truly great their country is and how unique and incredible are the Freedoms that this Nation bestows upon them. Service is a solemn reminder of the men and women before them who “paid the last full measure of devotion” so that we may enjoy these Freedoms. Also, very importantly, we would have in service every segment of our society represented so that our elected officials would be more hesitant and not cavalier about sending their own sons and daughters off to a faraway war unless it was truly in our Nation’s interests. This discussion and implementation must begin. To the young people of America, this is your country and your future. We will leave this great and Free Nation in your good hands for your children and for your children’s children. God Bless the United States of America! Love, Rob Schneider

@ASm1thee @samchilles The movie makes it seem like all the biologist that knew the science enough to be sent all died in the explosion. Didn't feel like it needed a science reason for why people were picked, even more so when they killed the others anyway.

@samchilles I think that twist was MORE horrifying in the movie. Since they left out the genetic subplot, it seems more likely that they COULD'VE found someone else who was actually trained & willing to go.

okay i think i actually have one critique about the project hail mary film…i wish the plot-twist was as sad and angrier as it was in the book. i would’ve loved to see gosling and huller act it out, like how it was originally written

@JuddgyOne @samchilles I never read the book but I felt the way the movie portrayed why he was selected worked. He knows the biology better then others, the genetic thing meant nothing when 2/3 of the crew died anyway while having the same genetic component.

@samchilles I think a big reason they couldn’t go there is due to another small failure IMO - they never explained the genetics component. The audience had no idea that there were literally only a handful of people on earth that COULD go. Without that, Stratt’s insistence makes little sense

@EdSalmon6 @stephen_richer @BasedMikeLee If you are being prevented from obtained government demanded documentation because it is placed behind a paywall instituted by the government, voters are being prevented from voting. Don't care if it is a penny.

@CannedResponse @stephen_richer @BasedMikeLee Voters will not be prevented from casting a ballot. The law does not apply to those who are already registered. New voters will need documentation of their identity. Makes perfect sense.

I know a lot of you tell me not to bother with @BasedMikeLee because being an a-factual hack on this platform is his shtick. But I can’t stop caring because I hold/held his family in such high regard (dad, brother). So: 1) only 12 states have given up the full voter registration database. 2) Georgia, Kentucky, Oklahoma, West Virginia, and Senator Lee’s home state, Utah, are among the states the DOJ has sued for refusing to give up the full voter registration database. 3) The DOJ has sued 29 states so far. In cases with rulings on a motion to dismiss, the states have won every ruling so far. 4) I suspect the states will go 29-0, or 28-1 (just to be safe), on these lawsuits. 5) Senator Lee is a very smart attorney, and he undoubtedly has smart area-specific attorneys at his disposal, and he can easily handicap these lawsuits accurately. 6) throwing in Jan 6 as if it’s just liberal claptrap like climate change (which I’ll admit, I’m somewhat sympathetic to as a policy, not factual, matter) is really something. 7) does he not have any smart friends who ask him why his social media account always plays to the lowest common denominator on here?
Mike Lee@BasedMikeLee

DHS: “Hey states, send us your voter-registration data and we’ll help you identify noncitizens who may have registered” Red States: “Great; will do!” Blue States: “No” DHS: “Why” Blue States: “Umm … noncitizens don’t vote, you’re racist, January 6th … and climate change” This is why we need the SAVE America Act Share if you agree

time? kind of ridiculous because the dmv is open 6 days a week, you can make time if it’s important to you. money? dmv’s usually waive the 5-20 dollar price of an ID for a homeless, disabled, or elderly person. knowledge? once again google is free, if you don’t know how to use google or ask the people at the dmv then you’re probably not worrying about voting.

Ah so people are too stupid to figure out how to identify themselves. What if we make the fees free? Because obviously all of these mutants with 3 brain cells out there, that you think exist, are just dying to vote but don't have the mental capacity to figure out how to or pay the fees.

Voting is a right. And you have to prove you are under the purview of those rights afforded to US citizens. How about make all documentation fees free for the retarded people that cannot prove their citizenship. Is that a good compromise? I doubt it, because you'd just move the goalpost to something else. "Pay their bus fare!!" "Pay for their day off work to go to the government office!!!"

Then I don't understand the opposition to the law.... We don't pass laws to organize the few. They are written to organize the masses. It's too damn bad if someone isn't equipped enough to have proper ID. They should go get the proper paperwork to be a responsible adult if they want to vote. Arguing about access to proper documentation is insane. Literally insane. Once again, the law is for the masses. The dummies that can't handle verifying their citizenship are the minoroty.

The Iranian regime executed a 19 year old for demanding democracy. I stand with his memory and the thousands of other young Iranians. Those who grieve the elimination of Iranian leaders over murdered protesters is telling.
Masih Alinejad 🏳️@AlinejadMasih

Today, in Iran, in the middle of a war, the regime executed a 19-year-old national wrestling champion for the crime of joining January protests. 💔 After signaling to the world, including President @realDonaldTrump, that they would halt executions of protesters, the regime has done the exact opposite. Three young protesters, Saleh Mohammadi, Mehdi Ghasemi, and Saeed Davoudi, were hanged in Qom after a sham trial. Reports indicate torture. Forced confessions. No access to chosen lawyers. Closed-door proceedings. No right to appeal. I call on @GlobalAthleteHQ to stand with Iranian athletes who are being silenced, imprisoned, and executed simply for raising their voices. This is not just about sports. This is about human dignity.

@Scopes29 @jjohn2514 @RepMGS @grok You will gladly give up every right you have to the government because you think it will hurt someone else. You don't care about actual election security. You lack any principles. Not sure if that was beaten out of you or you never developed any.

I swear you people make every excuse to not be accountable for anything. You have no problem spending $20 to go out to eat some garbage but you would spend $20 to get a copy of your birth certificate if it even cost that much. You had to have your birth certificate to get your license the first fucking time so where did it go from that time until now? A poll tax is a fee they charge you at the polling station. You don't even know the definition of the terms you are trying to use.

@Scopes29 @jjohn2514 @RepMGS @grok A system that requires a newborn to maintain custody of a document that will determine if they can practice their rights or else pay a fee seems like it goes against the 24 amendment.

@CannedResponse @jjohn2514 @RepMGS @grok How does it go against any amendment? They literally give you a fucking birth certificate when you are born? If you lose it that is your own fault for being irresponsible.
