Very happy with my tournament in Cannes where I achieved an honorable +21 elo, 1st female prize and most importantly my highest win ever, vs a 17 yo GM 2500+ ! We're so back 🤗🥳 Many thanks to Romuald De Labaca for the invitation and the great tournament organisation !!

Tata Steel Chess India in Kolkata didn’t go my way on the board, but there were positives to take away. Off the board, it was wonderful to see so many fans turning up, supporting and cheering for the players. I truly enjoyed that experience. Now heading to the Tata Steel Masters in Wijk aan Zee, a very prestigious event. The field this year looks extremely interesting and probably one of the youngest too. Looking forward to the next two weeks of chess! Do follow the event, and if you’re in the Netherlands, come by and watch the games. See you there. Cheers!

Started @chessgurukul in 2008 in Chennai after quitting my job and retiring from active tournament participation. 17 years of a rewarding and highly fulfilling journey! Thanks to my wife, @Aarthieramesh, who has stood by me all these years, despite the ups and downs, and managed the academy's administration very well. Chess Gurukul has contributed numerous medals to India in various international competitions and has helped nurture many talents. Thanks to the thousands of students who helped us become better trainers. Thanks to all the coaches who have been with us all these years. Thanks to our admins and staff who made this kind of growth possible. Thanks to all our well-wishers for believing in us and to the critics who kept us on our toes.

Alireza didn’t come to the closing ceremony even though he has taken the 3rd place. Probably he was upset that he narrowly missed out on the Candidates spot. Or protesting that there are no tie-break matches. What do you guys think of this situation?

@CannesChessClub @EmilSutovsky I do. She stole a husband from his wife. She betrayed her country (Ukraine). She is a vivid supporter of Russian fascism, as is Kariakin, as is Shipov. And yet, despite all we know about her, she is allowed to compete in official FIDE events. Pathetic!
