Being successful in Canada, is punishing. If you’re a law abiding citizen, educated (or not but entrepreneurial) and you earn a good salary, you’re TAXED ridiculously for it. If you follow societies rules and have financial resources, you’re rewarded by the Government - by paying a higher % portion of taxes. I find this very uninspiring and a disincentive. Especially when you see how all levels of Gov piss our tax dollars away and then increase our taxes further. We’re living in a financial insane asylum in Canada. $5.43M per hour in interest payments to banks.
