I HOPE YOU ARE SITTING DOWN🤯 New Jersey just spent ONE MILLION DOLLARS so 16 and 17-year-olds could vote in yesterday’s Newark school board election. Forty-five kids did. BUT IT GETS WORSE. Only 3.2% of adult registered voters in Newark bothered to show up to decide who gets to spend $1.3B in statewide taxpayer funds. Yes, these are the people who approve midnight contract extensions for Superintendent Surf-and-Turf; Honolulu trips and luxury travel; $225K on balloons; $500M school leases for buildings they won’t even own; millions more for buildings in neighborhoods with unfilled seats; no bid contracts; and services promised to kids that are not delivered. The questionable legality (due to constitutional conflict) aside, who thinks it’s a good idea for children—who cannot be legally held to a contract—to have a say in where a total $1.6B budget goes? Kids can’t sign a binding contract, take out a loan or mortgage, or enter most legal agreements without a parent or guardian. Sure, the naval blockade is hurting Iran, no doubt. But, the reason President Trump is trying so hard to end this conflict is another 4 to 6 weeks of the Strait of Hormuz being closed and a global recession becomes the base case. This is already the biggest global energy shock since the 1970s. Iran doesn't have to make it six months they just have to probably make it another month before the entire world is on its knees.

The Department of Justice has charged the Southern Poverty Law Center with fraud for misleading donors and lying to financial institutions – allegedly by paying members of violent extremist groups millions of dollars to act as informants. The law center interim president said the group had long used informants and called the indictment a political attack by the Trump administration.
