@Bubblebathgirl @CollinRugg I get that some students in the school have greater issues than others, but we still have to keep safety for all in tact. If we can’t protect ourselves from others there is something wrong. We never know the whole story about a student’s past/needs so patience is also needed but

@CollinRugg Children are being taught there’s no consequences for their actions and that’s why this continues to happen. It’s only going to get worse as our country becomes more lawless and our borders get more invaded. The fabric of society is shredding.

JUST IN: Substitute elderly teacher beaten by 280-pound student at Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis. Authorities have launched an investigation after 74-year-old substitute teacher Rob Gooding was allegedly beaten with a Chromebook. The student was described as a 6-feet-2, 280 pound "man child." "I saw him come up, and he said, ‘I’ve had it,’ and he came down and I blocked the Chromebook. That’s where the hole was," Gooding said, showing where he blocked it with his forearm. Gooding was then shoved to the floor and punched continuously. "He hovered over me and with his left hand whammed me." Gooding requested that the student be arrested and prosecuted however "higher-ups" in the school are blocking that from happening. Signs of a declining society.

@bhurd2 @HundredHistory @historyinmemes I disagree. We knew we were on a bad path of pollution that would leave devastating effects if we didn’t make changes then. There were many groups teaching us young folk how to clean up, reduce, reuse, recycle, use less energy, respect nature before it was too late.

In 1943, Paul Newman enlisted in the Navy, joining the V-12 program to become a pilot. But when he was discovered to be colorblind, he was sent to basic training where he became a rear-seat radioman and gunner for torpedo bombers. In May 1945, his unit was assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Bunker Hill. But the pilot developed an earache and another crew was sent in their place. A few days later kamikaze planes attacked Bunker Hill, killing almost 400 onboard. "When you miss something like that because your pilot happened to have an earache..wow!" Paul recalled. "You can't say God is looking after you because He gave your pilot an earache but put the 15 other guys in coffins!"

I am crying to tell you that Skylar passed away last night. From Skylar mother, Jay Jay, “And she's gone. 11/10/23 1154pm.” From Jo Bishop, DIPG Advocate, “Skylar has passed away after a twenty month battle with dipg, Skylar faced cancer with a maturity far beyond her eight years, captured our hearts and taught us all life lessons along the way. She is now at peace, free from the pain and anxiety of fighting cancer, for that we rejoice for her. Skylar fought with tenacity and courage, so strong and bright, she had so much more to give to the world. She deserved to grow up and fulfil her dreams. I am so very sweet girl, the world has failed you in the worst possible way and you deserved so much more. Skylar is not a statistic, she is someone’s pride and joy. We have to do better for these children. This is why we fight, so that children like Skylar can stay with their families, the place where they should be. Run, jump, dance and play sweet girl, no more pain or broken body. Your loved ones will miss you but will see you soon. Please keep Skylar’s family in your thoughts and prayers ‘And she's gone. 11/10/23 1154pm’ A kind of light spread out from her. And everything changed color. And the world opened out. And a day was good to awaken to. And there were no limits to anything. And the people of the world were good and handsome. Patricia Riker’s mother is asking for prayers for her baby. This is what she said: “I usually don't post this type of stuff but I am desperate. Please pray for my baby, he has already had 5 surgeries in his short little life. He is in critical condition with many organ injuries. Doctors are not hopeful for his survival but he continues to prove them wrong. Please pray or send good vibes or whatever you believe in. Please pray for his brain to wake up. Please send your love and pray for Jasmine who has been feeling horrible and is now sadly back in the hospital. We hope she feels better soon and can return home. Jasmine has been experiencing the side effects of the onc201 drug, and this morning, she took a turn for the worse, leading us back to the hospital. She had blood tests, and her temperature is up. This relentless Dipg tumor brings frustration, sorrow and sadness. Praying for Jasmine's swift recovery; it's heartbreaking to witness her struggle, feeling so helpless. My students loved this idea 'borrowed' from a social media group (teachers help each other!). By spinning the cups, they can read decodable word families, and they were so proud that they wanted to keep them! #Kindergarten #learningisfun #literacy
