The skewed logic on display here is laughable. The angry man is basically saying it is okay for Afghans and Somalis to rape people in Western nations because “the Brits did the same.” Well, unfortunately for him, history is far more complex than that. Often there is a lot of good that came with the evil, and that is simply a fact. And that is true of many nations and groups of people. British colonisation is known for some horrendous actions, but it also brought education, infrastructure, medicine and (yes, really) civility, even if that came with a large dose of hypocrisy. The Vikings were known for their raids, which involved slaughtering entire families, raping women and burning villages to the ground. Yet I highly doubt your average Scandinavian would consider that acceptable today. Ironically, they have imported many people from parts of the third world whose behaviour is similar. So should that now be tolerated because hundreds of years ago a culture that was drastically different from today’s modern world “did the same”? I would often say this in the past, and I still genuinely believe it. There are many stupid people who should stay away from education, as it is simply detrimental to their cognitive development. They are so lacking in understanding that giving them access to large amounts of information only skews their perception of things even more. I will go as far as to say that I wish there were some sort of test in place before people are allowed to use the internet, hell, even a dictionary or encyclopedia.

Imagine you are on your balcony and you notice a man running from the police. From your height you can see where the guy evaded the officer and is hiding. You can clearly see the police needs pointed in the right direction but you choose to say nothing, even when the officer asks you. On another balcony, the man is yelling and pointing the guy is getting away. What would you have done? Protect the person in trouble or point out where they were?

Last night I drove to a Restore Britain conference in Devon which was attended by about 50 people of all ages, despite not being widely publicised. One of the issues that concerned attendees was the mysterious appearance of exotic young men in the newly built housing estates popping up all over Devon. Ironically, I encountered one on my way home. An Indian man, dressed entirely in black and with no reflective clothing or torch was carrying a suitcase down the middle of a dark little country lane to nowhere (even though there was a pavement). I warned him that he was at risk of being run over and asked what he was doing - he said he was headed for the new housing estate nearby, and that he was employed by a solar farm. The lad hardly spoke English. How was he recruited? How did he get the housing? Something very fishy is going on and I hope @RestoreBritain_ can get to the bottom of it.
