@tragic_endings_ This implies these people are coming at this from some rational basis. I think the right taps into a fear that is irrational, but needs to be explained away. This is made worse by the fact that most people aren't doing as well as their parents did, hence the young people.

Idk why everyone makes this into some grand mystery. Those guys just watch media and have peers who praise their antisocial behavior while saying they're victimized worse than Jesus by "Them" so they never have to grow up. Everything takes a backseat to whatever you WANT to hear.

I think the basic problem with “young men are becoming more right wing because they’re freaking out over losing the privileges they’ve had forever” analysis is that they are YOUNG—by definition they haven’t lived long enough for that to be the explanation
