1/2 I’m currently testing lip sync implementation on the characters. For the level design, I’m experimenting with combat rooms that allow the player to approach enemies from different angles and elevations, creating multiple paths. #gamedev #indiedev #unrealengine #indiegame

2/2 and I’ve added some missing SFX, like explosion sounds. The goal is to further immerse the player during exploration. Additionally, I’ve updated the enemy hit animations and added voice overs for when you interact with NPCs (yes, there are NPCs to rescue in this game).

@SerociaR @CaptainMarooner 2/2 There’s also a level timer pushing you to move quickly, and even if you play for survival, the game is designed to be replayed, getting the best score requires being aggressive and making more use of parries.

@SerociaR @CaptainMarooner 1/2 Unlike modern action games, here the enemies are much more numerous and surround you in closed combat rooms, which forces you to constantly manage movement and spacing even with the dash.

2/2 I’m also implementing several improvements based on player feedback from my previous title, Citizen Pain. These include a difficulty selector and the removal of super armor for enemies, at least on the lower difficulty settings.

2/2 Even just modifying the layouts of the existing levels is a lot of work. Because of that, in some levels I might add checkpoints instead of Souls-like shortcuts.
