Need some help! I’m in the best shape of my life… I’m as lean as I’ve ever been… but I have some inflammation around my knees that’s driving me crazy & no matter what I’ve tried: diet, vitamins/supplements or exercise, I can’t shake it!
Any experts out there that have some ideas to help???

In summary, the Raiders are paying Kirk Cousins top-shelf bridge QB money while maintaining optionality to keep him as QB1 in case Mendoza doesn't work out and Cousins goes on a late-career tear.
And all the mechanisms also help the Raiders diffuse the salary-cap hits

New Raiders QB Kirk Cousins will now make $20 million fully guaranteed for playing the 2026 season, per sources. That’s double the $10M guarantee Cousins had left on his Falcons contract, and puts him in line to potentially be the Week 1 starter in Las Vegas. Here’s how it breaks down: 🏈 Falcons pay $8.7M in 2026, with the Raiders paying the $1.3 minimum base salary. 🏈 Raiders pay Cousins a $10M fully guaranteed roster bonus on the third day of the league year next March that is not subject to offsets. 🏈 Raiders hold a two-year, $80M option for 2027-28, which is unlikely (though not impossible) to be picked up. 🏈 The deal also includes two void years in 2029-30 for cap purposes. On paper, it’s a three-year, $81.3M deal (or five for $172M with the void years). In reality, it’s one-year, $20 million for Kirk Cousins, who now will have played under fully guaranteed contracts for 11 consecutive seasons.

My now 7 year old got really into Football this last year, on his own he picked Maxx as his favorite player. I already told him once we traded him and he was pretty upset. Going to wait to tell him he’s staying after I hear it from Spytek himself so I don’t have to tell him twice haha.

@CaptJackRaider Also, I felt like Mark Davis basically admitted as much in his post announcing the firing of Carroll. His unnecessary linguistic emphasis on Brady and Spytek making football decisions from then on sounded to me like a mea culpa.

A quick google search would have let you know Spytek had nothing to do with the hire of Pete Carroll and staff. They were literally hired one day apart. It was already in place.

First time, the Raiders are going to commit to a true rebuild. It’ll be a bad sign if they are signing older FA’s to big contracts.

I kept going back to a conversation I had with John Spytek at the Combine. He said they had to be very "sober" with where they were as an organization and a roster as they were approaching this offseason. That stuck with me. It felt like he knew what is ahead with this rebuild if they want to do it the right way. It felt like the compensation for Crosby was always going help them start turning this. And if they didn't do it now, who Crosby be at his best when they became a contender, or would his value be this high in a year or two?
