Baker got hurt that year. It’s well documented.
His statistics are top 10 the last 3 years with the Bucs. His healthiest year (2024) he had a year that only 4 QBs in history have ever had.
He was playing like an MVP until he got hurt this year. But the Bucs, unlike the miserable Browns aren’t going to throw him away like trash because he got hurt.
It’s Cleveland’s fault he’s not there. Make no mistake about it. The only QB to lead you to a playoff win STILL and he has more than your franchise does in 35 years.

What makes people think he could do better? Watching the Prime documentary and seeing MANY Bucs teams NOT make the playoffs with a 10-6 record (Raheem Morris first season) and several 9-7 seasons that did not result in a playoff berth.

Bucs were -45 in point differential when they made the playoffs at 8-9 in Tom Brady’s last year, so if they make it again, they’ll be better than that total.
