$ASTS: Real-time short interest has hit an all-time high of 64.1M shares. I put together some numbers to get to an actual % of float that is short, which is ~20% I started with total shares outstanding of 388M and removed strategic investors including Rakuten, Alphabet, AT&T, Verizon, Vodafone, American Tower and finally Abel Avellan's holdings, which gets you to 256M shares as your denominator. Then I took 64M shares short and removed about 11M shares related to convertible arb hedging, which gives you 53M shares short. 53M / 256M = 20% of the float is short.

@TheProfInvestor $ASTS thesis just got demolished with $AMZN Leo joining the the D2D race, and $T CEO saying they will go with multiple providers and partnering with Amazon. I doubt they survive and will be forced to sell for pennies on the dollar when they run out of money.

@thekookreport Can you explain why $META would launch their own WhatsApp phone? I thought if that phone would not be used on regular cell services, very mimnal people use it.

Reminder, $ASTS will not be the same as Starlink. Why is $META working with $ASTS? They want WhatsApp to work and they well might roll out their own WhatsApp phones.

$ASTS has satisfied everything it needed to for a bottom. Assuming we breakout of this latest falling wedge/bull flag consolidation, a measured move would be anywhere from $145-$160 depending on if and when it breaks out.
For now, the top of the wedge rests around $90 area. Obviously the range of this consolidation is very large.
Of course, it needs to reclaim and defend the 200sma well before a breakout can materialize, which now it is attempting to break the 200sma as I make this post.

$ASTS 30min chart shows we undercut the wedge yesterday and reclaimed and broke out today. Just needs volume (or bullish algos) now to get it moving more.
RSI (5) got overbought fast which normally confirms a breakout is starting up. Without adequate volume we could go back test the wedge breakout near $70

- Base Salary. Mr. Avellan has historically asked not to be paid any base salary in excess of applicable minimum wage requirements under federal law. He has not received any base salary from the Company since the consummation of the Business Combination in April 2021.
- Cash Bonus. Mr. Avellan did not participate in our annual bonus program in 2025 and received no cash bonus payouts for 2025 performance.
