President Trump had an opportunity to unite the country yesterday. I was on @KTAR923 with former congressman Matt Salmon, and we agreed that Trump and Congress could stand united and tell the country it's time to bring the rhetoric down. It's ok to disagree but there is no need to be personal and call anyone evil and other dehumanizing names. We are all Americans and neighbors. We can disagree but we shouldn't hate each other. Instead, Trump gave the worst post tragedy speech I have ever heard from a President. He blamed all political violence on what he called the "radical left" and ignored violence from the right as if it doesn't exist. Another opportunity for Trump to show leadership and be a transcendent President, and instead he immediately did what he always does. Lash out, blame others and create division. We don't even have the killer in custody yet. This could have been a post 911 opportunity to unite. Such an opportunity lost.
