Around four years ago today, I had a random encounter while ramming a ship where a shark was flipped into their map table area (on a sloop). It glitched around for a short while before warping back out through the hull and despawning. This proves it’s possible for a shark to actually enter a ship, and technically, with enough water on board, you could keep a pet shark below deck. One day, someone will make this happen. Maybe me, maybe you. But if YOU do, and capture the footage, you’ll earn an Obsidian Capstan and a Gilded Phoenix Crest.

People keep asking me about the rumours that #SeaofThieves won't be getting any updates for six months. Truth is, I don't know. You'd think I would, but I honestly don't. Is the six month claim real? Yes. It was mentioned by the developers during a panel at #SoTFest. Beyond that, nobody has any real details. Right now we're all waiting to hear from the developers so we actually know what was meant. I can clear up one rumour though. The GMU hasn't been cancelled. It's just not coming in Season 21. Assuming Season 21 ever arrives. Who knows at this point. The communication around all of this has been pretty poor, if I'm honest.

Sensitive subject, but during Covid, like a lot of us, I piled on the pounds, and then never really did anytying about it. For the last six months I've been exercising more and eating healthier, and day to day I never really noticed much of a difference. Then I looked back at some streams from six months ago and... bloody hell. It's amazing how much you don't notice the gradual changes until you see an old version of yourself.

Sea of Thieves relies too heavily on data. Data is valuable, but it should be used as a tool to support decisions, not make them. For example, if I only followed my analytics showing that videos like "My Rarest Sails" perform best, I'd probably have 500k subscribers by now. But in doing so, I'd lose the charm that makes my channel what it is.

@TheSponchMaster @PlanetCoaster They do actually have that, but you don't see it for some reason. Possibly too close.

@Captain_Falcore @PlanetCoaster This could muddy it up but you should experiment with some dirt emitters or colored smoke emitters at the base of the tillers to simulate contact with the ground. Not sure if that would work - you might have already tried and it just looked like hot garbage - but just my thought

Hearing about the alleged Xbox studio closures today, and I say alleged because nothing has been fully confirmed yet, is honestly really sad. Some incredible studios, including ones I grew up with, are seemingly just being cast aside. I really hope the talented people behind these teams land somewhere that truly values them and gives them the chance to let their skills shine.

I've just realised the entire story of Sea of Thieves is about a pirate who became the Pirate Lord, got sick of pirates acting like pirates, went onto the forums to complain about pirates pirating, got enough likes that it somehow became law, and now anyone who actually plays like a pirate is apparently the bad guy. So the man who built his entire reputation by robbing people now spends his days giving TED Talks about good sportsmanship. "It's not about the Gold but the Glory!" he says with a smile as he stands over the decapitated corpse of his first mate and lifelong friend... The same friend he spent years mocking and pushing to embrace being an actual pirate. The Pirate Lord really committed murder, logged onto the forums, and decided piracy was where he drew the line. What? #SeaOfThieves
