@OwaisTohid Is that the same university where the scientists making nuclear bombs were educated? Seems logical to bomb such a place.

The U.S. and Israel last night bombed the prestigious Sharif University of Technology in Tehran—often called the MIT of Iran. Sharif University ranks among the world’s top 300-400 engineering universities and is considered a lifeline for the country’s scientific and engineering academics. Founded in 1966 during the rule of the Shah (then named Aryamehr), its alumni include the late Ali Larijani, legendary Iranian footballer Ali Daei, and Maryam Mirzakhani, the country’s first woman to win the Fields Medal—often regarded as the Nobel Prize of mathematics. The university’s campus has also been a central stage for student protests in the past. #IranWar

Europe's disease is not a disease of America. It is a disease of World War 2. In 1946, after we rescued them from themselves and each other, Europeans crawled out of the rubble they had made of their continent, looked around at their mess, wept for a bit, and then formed the wrong conclusions. They decided that ethnic nations are bad. That patriotism is bad. That supporting your tribe, in preference to random strangers, is bad. They decided that these things had led to the horrors of global war and genocide in Europe itself, and so all vestiges of loyalty to one's own people must be stamped out. Nations were, forever afterward, to be post-ethnic, post-cultural legal and economic units filled with... well, anyone, really. A bunch of people who didn't, in fact shouldn't, share values, goals, morals, customs, or even a common language. Nations were to be mere fiefs, their boundaries determined by which set of political elites controlled them. America, having not been smashed to rubble in WW2, did not share this view. We saw WW2 as an expensive adventure in bailing out Europe, which we spent our treasure and our blood on (including my own grandfather's life, and his chance to ever see his grandson) precisely because we shared cultural and ethical values with the people we were rescuing. But they hate us for it. They see our patriotism as fascism precisely because they see all patriotism as fascism. Psychologists have long understood that humans respond to favors with gratitude only up until those favors become so great that they have no hope of repaying them. At that point, their gratitude turns to resentment. How dare we believe we did them a favor? How dare I believe that my father gave up his father so Europe could be safe, peaceful, and free? Don't we know that, because ${ELABORATE MENTAL GYMNASTICS}, we didn't do them any favors by fighting that war? Don't we know that, because ${ANY PATRIOTISM = HITLER}, our love of our country and favoring of its interests makes us fascist and problematic? Well, no. I don't know that. I don't think any European nation is our ally any more. Certainly, we have shared interests, but how much does that really matter, when they refuse to act in those shared interests, because they have come to believe that acting in your people's interest is bad? They hate us too much to work with us. They resent every ounce of the burden which they are asked to share. Our support has made Europe into a pack of idle welfare recipients, complete with sense of entitlement and self-destructive behavior. But if we didn't defend them... who would? Their native populations have been purged of all patriotism, and who would blame them if they didn't fight for ruling elites that hate them? Their imported third-world barbarians won't fight for them. The very idea is laughable. What's left? And what will make them wake up and think about these questions? Perhaps they need to dig themselves out of the rubble of another war.

@CynicalPublius Please just take your bases and leave. Europe needs to stand on its own two feet, for sure. We outsourced our security to America. But that outsourcing was a catastrophe. The entire continent has been invaded and destroyed under your 'protection'. For the love of God, go.

The Static Rain@TheStaticRain·
You’ve got the "American Hero" cape on so tight it’s cutting off the circulation to your brain. You think we "crawled out of the rubble" and just forgot how to be a country? No, sweetheart. We looked at the pile of 100 million corpses we’d stacked up between 1870 and 1945 and realized that "patriotism" in Europe isn’t a flag on a lawn—it’s a bayonet in your neighbor’s lung. We didn't "stamp out" loyalty; we put a muzzle on a rabid dog that had already bitten off its own legs twice in thirty years. We traded the "tribe" for a trade agreement because, believe it or not, selling each other Volvos is a lot more sustainable than burying each other’s teenagers. And let’s drop the "charity" act. It’s embarrassing. You didn't give us a "favor" out of the goodness of your Christian hearts; you bought a luxury apartment complex on the edge of a graveyard so the Soviets wouldn't move in. The Marshall Plan wasn't a gift—it was a down payment on an empire. You paid for our defense so you could call the shots, park your nukes in our backyard, and make sure the entire planet did business in Greenbacks. You call us "welfare recipients," but you’re the landlord who’s been skimming the rent for eighty years while complaining that the tenants don't own enough guns. You want us to "act like men"? Careful what you wish for. The last time Europe felt "manly" and "tribal," your grandfather had to fly three thousand miles just to find a place to park his plane that wasn't on fire. You’re sitting over there in your "un-smashed" suburbs, lamenting our lack of "morals and customs" while your own country is vibrating with the same tribal idiocy you’re accusing us of losing. You think America is a "culture"? America is a business with a national anthem. You’re a "legal and economic unit" held together by credit card debt and a shared love of fast-food drive-thrus. At least our "post-ethnic" experiment was an attempt to stop a literal apocalypse. You’re just a collection of warring zip codes that can’t even agree on which bathroom to use, lecturing us about "shared goals." It’s adorable, really. It’s like a teenager with a trust fund telling a war veteran how to manage a budget. So, go ahead, keep hoping for "another war" to "wake us up." It’s a great plan—right up until the global economy, which survives on our stability, does a swan dive into a woodchipper. If the "American Umbrella" folds and we have to go back to being "barbarians," you aren't going to be sitting on your porch watching the fireworks. You’re going to be drafted into a conflict that makes WWII look like a schoolyard scuffle. We’re soft, sure. We’re "idle." We’ve got healthcare and trains that actually run on time because we weren't busy playing World Police. But don't mistake a vacation for a coma. We’re still the same people who invented every creative way to kill a human being known to man. If we "wake up," you won’t be getting a thank-you note—you’ll be getting a front-row seat to the end of the world. Good luck with the "patriotism," though. I’m sure it’ll look great on the tombstone.

We are in the shit. There’s no turning back. For better or worse Pandora’s box was opened. I am now invested in decoupling because if Trump fails before he loses power Xi will ensure we can never try again. Thats why I sound invested. I am.

My brother @EnochBurke has spent over 600 days in jail for refusing to bow to transgenderism. Today my mother Martina and sister Ammi were arrested and jailed - for having the courage and conviction to call out the lies and treachery of judges who have ignored the constitution and imposed LGBTQ+ tyranny on our country. It’s shocking to see them put into a van today and taken away like criminals. But we are seeing the true face of LGBT ideology and those who enforce it - anyone who dares to live by their Christian beliefs must be crushed. Shame on the church leaders who have been utterly silent on this issue. Like Judas of old they have grasped their few pieces of silver and betrayed Christ and His truth through their silence and indifference. BUT THE TRUTH WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED.

Enoch Burke@EnochBurke

BREAKING: Enoch Burke’s mother and sister arrested and jailed Martina and Ammi Burke were arrested by Gardaí today at Castlerea Prison after visiting jailed schoolteacher Enoch Burke, their son and brother. Judge Brian Cregan sentenced them to two weeks in prison after they spoke out against his lies and unlawful actions in the case of Enoch Burke. Martina and Ammi Burke had been teaching in Castlebar this morning before travelling to Castlerea for their scheduled visit at 2.15pm. As they left the prison after concluding the visit, Gardaí were waiting outside to arrest them. Lies have been told from the bench since September 2022 when Enoch Burke was first taken from his teaching post at Wilson’s Hospital School and thrown into a jail cell. He refused to call a student by a new name and the “they” pronoun. He was subsequently suspended and has now spent over 600 days in prison. Ireland’s church leaders have maintained a treacherous silence on this issue. Archbishops Eamon Martin and John McDowell speak frequently about battlefields far away - Gaza, Ukraine, the Middle East - but are silent on the battlefields in the schools of Ireland, on their own doorstep. Children in the classroom are being educated in every form of sexual perversion. Martina and Ammi Burke have now been sent to Mountjoy Women’s Prison because they refused to be silent in the face of gross injustice from the bench. Parents, rise up and speak out for your sons and your daughters.

The Prime Minister told a closed-door fundraiser that Michael Ma represents "Liberal values." Really. Are Carney's values to deny the existence of forced Uyghur labour camps in Xinjiang, with their products in our markets? Are Carney's values to be silent on human rights, so as to cozy up to authoritarians? Or worse, are Carney's values those of appeasement, of Beijing's New World Order?
