Today a court in Madurai sentenced all 9 police officers to death. Their crime was murder. Their victims were Jayaraj and Bennix. A father and son who kept their mobile shop open 45 minutes past curfew in June 2020. They were beaten for 7 hours through the night. Forced to wipe their own blood off the floor with their clothes. Jayaraj had 17 injuries. Bennix had 13. Both died within 3 days. The judge called it rarest of rare. Today India told every police officer in this country. Nobody is above the law. Came to Novotel Delhi Aerocity to celebrate wife's birthday. @Accor Platinum member. Was promised a Suite and decoration by staff on email. They gave me basic room with no decoration. On a train journey yesterday, something unusual happened. A vendor was serving meals to passengers at ₹120 each, but when my turn came, I was charged ₹140. Instead of ignoring it, I decided to file a complaint. What followed was quite surprising. Within just 12 minutes, the manager personally came to my seat. He returned the extra amount and politely requested that I withdraw the complaint, mentioning that it could result in a fine of ₹31,000 for them. It was only a matter of ₹20, yet the response showed how seriously such complaints are taken. Realizing this, I chose to withdraw it—but the incident clearly highlighted the impact a simple complaint can have.

Sitting in an airport lounge, I watched a lady (possibly in her early 60s) arrive in a wheelchair, assisted by airline staff.
