Superb political ad. One of the best you’ll see. This is better, and resonates more, than anything coming from Labour or the Tories.

🚛 Israel Blocking More Than Two-Thirds of Aid Agreed Under Ceasefire Deal Gaza authorities reiterate that Israel is allowing fewer than 200 aid trucks a day into the Strip, despite a ceasefire deal requiring 600. Ismail Al-Thawabteh of Gaza’s media office says Israel is “managing hunger in Gaza deliberately, slowly, and cumulatively,” with malnutrition now above 90 percent. He adds that Israel has killed at least 342 Palestinians since the Oct. 10 ceasefire began and continues to block heavy machinery needed to recover bodies from rubble. He calls it deliberate starvation and obstruction of relief, urging mediators to pressure Israel to comply.

🇨🇺🇿🇦When two revolutionaries meet: "Our friend Cuba, which helped us in training our people, gave us resources to help us with our struggle, trained our people as doctors. You have not come to our country…when are you coming to South Africa?” Nelson Mandela meeting Fidel Castro. How Cuba was instrumental in breaking South Africa’s apartheid regime: Cuba sent over 425,000 volunteers (soldiers, medics, teachers) to Africa between 1975–1991, the largest overseas solidarity mission by any Global South nation. In Angola alone, “Operación Carlota” deployed 36,000 Cuban troops in 1975 to stop the South African invasion backed by the CIA. At the height of the fighting, Cuba maintained 50,000+ troops in Angola, more than the US had in any Cold War African theatre. Cuban pilots flew thousands of combat sorties, decisively halting South African air superiority. The Battle of Cuito Cuanavale (1987–88), commanded largely by Cuban officers, became the largest battle in Africa since WWII. Nelson Mandela would call the battle “the turning point for the liberation of our continent and my own freedom.” The South African Defence Force suffered hundreds of casualties, and its elite 61st Mechanised Battalion was forced into retreat for the first time. Cuban-Angolan victory at Cuito Cuanavale broke the myth of SADF invincibility, directly triggering apartheid’s strategic collapse. The defeat forced South Africa to agree to Namibian independence (1989), removing Pretoria’s buffer zone and crippling its regional dominance. Cuba trained tens of thousands of African doctors, engineers, and officers, a long-term investment in post-apartheid state capacity. Cuba provided this aid for free, without loans, bases, or resource concessions. Fidel Castro’s Cuba did all this despite being constrained by the US economic embargo, and constant threats from Washington. They hate the example of Cuba, because revolutionary Cuba showed that the defiant people of a small island nation were capable of helping vanquish the criminality and barbarism that Washington supported around the world.

This month marked 108 years since Red October: the Bolshevik Revolution led by Vladimir Lenin. Here is Michael Parenti explaining why the US feared the power and the example set by the October Revolution, and why that power is still feared today and dictates US foreign policy.

Thank you @sharrenhaskel for hosting me at @IsraelMFA. The relationship between Israel and the UK is vital to our collective security and defence, and to protect our freedoms and values from all those who threaten us. The world is an increasingly dangerous place with terrorism and the axis of authoritarian states threatening our security. Israel is defending our values and helping to keep the UK safe and our interests protected. We held productive and important conversations on the ceasefire, the threats we face and the rise of antisemitism in the UK. We must stand together with Israel in dealing with these threats and defending our freedoms 🇬🇧🇮🇱 It's shameful that Keir Starmer and Labour Government Ministers are failing to hold these important discussions with Israeli Ministers. Labour is neglecting our friends and allies and undermining our interests and security.

A great meeting with my friend @netanyahu and discussion about how we must stand together to fight for the freedoms and values our countries are founded on. Israel is a beacon of democracy and freedom in the Middle East and our friend and ally. We must never forget the horrors of 7 October 2023 and the UK needs to play a strong role working with Israel and our partners to defeat terrorism and antisemitism. 🇬🇧🇮🇱

A judge gets pulled from the Palestine Action judicial review at the last minute, and the Ministry of Defence refuses to explain why. The three replacement judges include a former government lawyer and a judge who previously ruled in favour of allowing F-35 components to be sent to Israel. More than 2,350 peaceful protesters risk being branded “terrorists” for holding cardboard signs protesting Britain’s complicity in genocide, all while the government handpicks who hears the case. This is what an attack on our rights looks like. We cannot stay silent. We must push back.

The Tories cut 70% of youth services funding in less than a decade. Now, many young people have retreated online, which is impacting their mental health and puts them at risk of radicalisation. A wealth tax can help fund mass investment in the youth services we desperately need.

Nathan Gill gets 10 years, yet: • 25% of British MPs funded by pro-'israel' lobby • £1M+ poured into Parliament • 240+ fully-funded trips for MPs to 'israel' • 80% of Tory MPs are members of Conservative Friends of 'israel' (CFI). LFI won't even say. Britain is occupied.
