Crazy to think Lightning Returns nailed down a Final Fantasy open world and it has been memory holed. Incredible environment full of life, sidequests with tangible rewards, and had its own friction with the world clock that made it unique from every other open world.

While Xbox and Playstation were cannibalizing each other Nintendo has only ever been competing with itself since the 2000’s and the only complaints that matter are other Nintendo Console owners so everytime someone else brings up exclusive, hardware, sales, price, etc. it means f*ck all because Nintendo is a completely self sufficient market that has nothing to prove other than dropping a banger Mario or Zelda game once a generation
