I know what my grandfather would say about what Kent wrote in his letter. He was a Marine. He fought on Iwo Jima.  He was Jewish. He’d be furious. I believe it's possible to explain obvious outcomes without affording justification. Given these external conditions placed on a population, the outcome is predictable, regardless of the theological basis. It's useful to understand this, but if you get hung up on your own emotions then I can see why you might prioritize dunking on people above understanding outcomes.
