Exactly one year ago today, Austin Metcalf was murdered in broad daylight.
The young man who killed him is now living at home on house arrest, spending his days with family as if nothing happened.
There is no question of guilt. He admitted it himself: “I’m not alleged. I did it.”
Yet he spent just 12 days in jail, had his bond reduced, received more than half a million dollars in public support, walked across the stage to graduate, and is reportedly now attending college.
This is not justice. It’s a complete legal and moral failure, and a direct dishonor to Austin.
Charlie Kirk was right: “Imagine believing that murderers deserve condolences, not their victims.” That is exactly the upside-down reality we’re watching.
Austin deserved better. His family deserved better.
We will not let his name be erased. We are watching. We are waiting. And we will keep telling his story until real accountability is delivered.
Today we remember Austin Metcalf and lift up his family in prayer.
A life taken far too soon. We will demand justice until it comes.
RIP Austin Metcalf
