Today at work, I was told ‘Good boy’ by a member of staff I’ve never met, for cleaning a tray after cannulating my patient. After I notified them this was quite a patronising thing to say, I was told I was ‘being sensitive’. I genuinely want to know - was I ?

@HeadSurrey How awful for your husband. I wish him well. I endorse the bright colours for both adults and children, this time of year. I was approaching a zebra crossing yesterday and noticed a white dog, the male owner in a black coat, waiting to cross the road, was invisible.

Today a child ran out in front of my husband’s car. He was driving below the speed limit but still couldn’t stop in time. We have just heard that the child has a broken leg and will be fine - my husband is in pieces. Please teach your children road safety - I will be next week.

It has been 60 years since 39 people - including 33 British pupils from Croydon on a school trip - died in a tragic plane crash in Holtaheia near Stavanger. Today we remember the victims and our thoughts are with their families.
