Despite it being based in the US, this book is SO relevant to the UK. It’s about a British product that was celebrated as a huge success; most British people had it; it’s by a British author; and part of the proceeds are going to a British charity. 💜 amzn.eu/d/iJw577x

Reflecting on "Worth a shot?" by @CarolinePover I am also so impressed by Caroline's brilliant storytelling that let me look through the eyes of @BrianneDressen, the women and later men who stepped up for each other after being grievously injured by the COVID vaccines, and the champions that group of incredibly brave and powerful souls found along the way. Bri is an American hero. Her vulnerability recounting the colossal physical, emotional, social, and financial toll of the vaccine induced injury she suffered after participating in the AstraZeneca clinical trial is gut wrenching. Her inner strength and willingness to go to bat for so many others while still shouldering the weight of her unfathomable pain is truly inspiring. I was brought to the edge of tears reading chapter 4 when Trish, Bri's MD sister, screamed at her colleagues that Bri was going to kill herself unless someone helped treat her sister's injury. I think it was incredibly powerful to share that period of darkness with the world. Too many people go through life thinking they are the only one experiencing that utter hollowness. Bri's willingness to speak about her experience and clearly articulate the reasons she chose to live for the sake of her family and mission until she could see the beauty of the world again for herself will save countless lives. 🙏 Reading about the severe under-reporting bias of VARES and the other vaccine injury reporting systems brought up painful memories for me of getting dismissed and ridiculed when I tried to raise the alarm about the massive number of reported injuries with family, friends, and colleagues in 2021. Seeing Pfizer's lipid nano-particle bio-distribution study referenced in that same "Finding the science" chapter resurfaced the profound hurt I felt when a loved one told me they stopped respecting my opinions about COVID and related topics because I shared this study... that was published in Japanese. Reading about Bri's soul healing journey in chapter 15 deeply resonated with me. I aspire to live by the same mindset that most people in the world share a love of humanity that motivates them. I completely agree that we should work to bridge the gaps between us by leaning into that shared love of humanity then trust that love's bond will heal the wounds we've inflicted on each other.

UKCVFAMILY & DAY THIRTEEN COVID INQUIRY MODULE 4: VACCINES & THERAPEUTICS JANUARY 31st, 2025 The final day of hearings consisted of Closing Statements by barristers representing the remaining Core Participants, the Treasury, and the MHRA, followed by a mercifully short closing comment from Hugo Keith KC. Danny Friedman KC, representing national disabled people’s organisations, was the only Core Participant barrister to offer support for the vaccine-injured, citing the VDPS as being akin to other administrative challenges that disabled people have to deal with as a result of their own conditions. A direct conversation with Friedman and his colleagues later in the morning, made it clear that we are embraced by the groups he represents; we are now considered to be one of them. Many of our members are now, sadly, disabled, and we look forward to developing a mutually beneficial relationship with other organisations. The only other mention of the vaccine-injured was surprisingly, from the MHRA’s representative, who made a short but significant comment, “… the Inquiry has heard moving evidence from those who have been injured or bereaved following receipt of a Covid-19 vaccine. Their voices have been heard. Anyone who has suffered as a result of playing their part in a vaccine campaign of such societal consequence should be properly supported in the very rare event of a serious adverse effect.” We will be watching how the MHRA chooses to do their part in ensuring that we get proper support. Our own barrister, Anna Morris KC, today gave an eloquent, factual, and deeply moving closing statement on our behalf, reminding all watching in-person and online, that at the core of any public health matter should always lie a sense of humanity. Morris expressed our appreciation at being included in this module; that in itself being a step toward increasing awareness and decreasing the stigma of vaccine injuries. The new membership applications during the past three weeks shows that our presence was needed. Others are no longer suffering alone. Morris emphasised our expertise in our own conditions, and urged parties to consult with us in the develop of possible recommendations. Inspired by the frequent use of the word “peacetime” throughout this module, Morris likened us to injured or killed soldiers whose contribution has been cast aside. She reminded the Inquiry that the pharmaceutical companies had safety nets—where was ours? Morris asked the Inquiry to improve public messaging around adverse reactions thus ensuring true informed consent, to create a more enhanced active surveillance scheme, and to better train healthcare staff in the identification of adverse reactions, and make them feel safe enough to report injuries without repercussion. She also asked the Inquiry to recommend specialist clinical pathways and treatment centres for the physical and emotional health of the vaccine-injured. And finally, she asked for urgent review of—and interim recommendations for—the VDPS, saying that it “cannot be allowed to continue for another month, another year.” It felt like a historic moment, not just for the Covid vaccine-injured, but for those who have been injured or bereaved by vaccines in the decades gone by. Perhaps the legacy of the Covid vaccine program could be the public recognition of something that should have been recognised a very, very long time ago. We know that many have suffered before us. Perhaps, because of our efforts, fewer will follow. Anyone in need of support is encouraged to contact UKCVFamily on enquiries@ukcvfamily.org.

@ukcvfamily I've been very interested in those that only ever had 1 inj. Why only 1? That particular sub set may have had a particularly strong reaction and decided not to have another. Could they have suffered worse general long term health and even had higher death rates Vs unvaxed?

UKCVFAMILY & DAY NINE COVID INQUIRY MODULE 4: VACCINES & THERAPEUTICS JANUARY 27th, 2025 Day nine examined evidence presented by Darius Hughes (General Manager, Moderna Biotech UK), Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch (former Minister of Equalities), Rt Hon Nadhim Zahawi (former Minister for Covid-19 Vaccine Deployment), and Dame Emily Lawson (Senior Responsible Officer for the Covid-19 Vaccination Programme, NHS England). There was very little discussion of adverse reactions today. Moderna’s Darius Hughes mentioned the huge amount of post-authorisation data the company has, and their eight long-term studies involving patients; however not all the results have been published because the studies are taking years. We look forward to the results. He confirmed that myocarditis and pericarditis were known adverse events following vaccination in general, and that there had been 38 Covid vaccine cases by May 2021. There was a discussion about how Moderna’s product information changed in 2021 in response to these and other adverse reactions; we would have liked to have known how those who had already received the vaccine were informed. Hughes said that the company depended on the Yellow Card Scheme in order to be aware of potential safety signals, which he believed to be a very effective scheme. Although he then said that the MHRA reports back the number of adverse reactions without including the number of doses, so we wonder how it is possible to determine an accurate adverse reaction rate post-authorisation. Kemi Badenoch participated in one of the vaccine trials herself in order to inspire public trust, which she talked about at length in relation to ethnic minorities. It was disappointing that she did not mention the vaccine-injured; we would have thought the former Minister of Equalities might have had some compassion for the challenges faced by such a marginalised group. Her reference to family WhatsApp groups, and her worries about the information that was being shared on them, was concerning. Dame Emily Lawson talked about the changes that were implemented when the Yellow Card Scheme flagged up cases of anaphylaxis on the very first day of the rollout; it would have been interesting to know how she responded to other adverse reactions. She also talked about how all vaccinators were extremely well-trained not just in administering the vaccine but also in areas of reporting, safety concerns, and adverse reactions; however our members have found that most reactions began after they had left the vaccinators. We would like to know more about how GPs and A&E departments were trained in identifying suspected adverse reactions to pharmaceutical products. It was rather difficult to hear Lawson casually describe the “Grab-a-jab” campaign as an attempt to create a social event, and we are concerned about this flippant attitude toward medical interventions. Nadhim Zahawi was clearly extremely proud of everything he and his team did, and answered questions with a big smile. He did not once refer to adverse reactions. We would have liked to have known what happened to the Yellow Card PR scheme that he was about to launch in the autumn of 2021, according to a letter sent by him to one of our supportive MPs. Zahawi provided the quote of the day, if not the entire of Module 4, when he said multiple times, “We were building the plane while we were flying it.” And he wonders why people were reluctant to get on board. #CovidInquiry #vaccineinjuries Anyone in need of support is encouraged to contact UKCVFamily on enquiries@ukcvfamily.org.

UKCVFAMILY & DAY EIGHT COVID INQUIRY MODULE 4: VACCINES & THERAPEUTICS JANUARY 23rd, 2025 UKCVFamily’s Chair of Trustees was present on day eight, which examined evidence presented by Sir Sajid Javid, Professor Wei Shen Lim, Pfizer’s Ben Osborn, and AstraZeneca’s Dr Justin Green. Sajid Javid was the first witness in this module so far to express sympathy for the vaccine-injured and -bereaved in his opening remarks, before responding to Hugo Keith KC’s questioning. Of particular interest was Javid’s criticism of the VDPS. He started sharing the experience of his severely injured constituent, John Cross (who had committed suicide following his rejection from the VDPS); however, Hugh Keith interrupted Javid’s attempts to talk about Mr Cross, and moved the conversation on to another topic. Our barrister’s questions brought about the concerning admission that Javid hadn’t initially been aware of the Yellow Card Scheme, and when he had become aware, was never informed that there were any problems with it. As the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care at that time, we would have expected him to have been better informed. Wei Shen Lim provided some interesting statistics regarding how many people needed to receive a vaccine in order to save one life: for the over 65s it was a thousand jabs to save one life, for the over 50s it was 8000 jabs to save one life, and for children it was in the tens of thousands to save one life. We would like to have seen some discussion around these figures with reliable data about adverse reactions. Pfizer’s Ben Osborn claimed there were no SUSARs (suspected unexpected serious adverse reactions) reported during their clinical trials, yet the case of teenager Maddie de Garay is well known amongst the global injured community. Myocarditis and pericarditis were discussed, with Hugo Keith again focusing on these heart conditions occurring post-Covid as well as in the general population, in what appeared to be another attempt to discredit our members. What would not have been apparent unless one was in the hearing room, was the fact that AstraZeneca’s Dr Justin Green was accompanied by what appeared to be four lawyers. They didn’t take their eyes off Green, whose responses to Hugo Keith’s questions were mainly short, often one-word answers. Hugo Keith reiterated previous day’s comments about adverse reactions not necessarily being due to vaccines, and instead being coincidental or due to Covid. None of the questions submitted by other barristers were permitted, and Baroness Hallett concluded the day by enthusiastically thanking AstraZeneca for their contributions, to the shock of not only the vaccine-injured present, but the non-injured in attendance too. Day eight seemed to make it clear that the Inquiry is not as impartial as the general public would assume; not just with Baroness Hallett’s praise to a vaccine manufacturer with the highest number of Yellow Card reports than any other, and not just because of her lead counsel’s obvious bias in his lines of questioning, but also in the admonishing of Anna Morris KC for asking a question without permission. Up until that point, the general public has likely been under the impression that any and all questions regarding a pharmaceutical product that 79% of them have received, were legitimate. It seems that is not the case. Anyone in need of support is encouraged to contact UKCVFamily on enquiries@ukcvfamily.org. #CovidInquiry #vaccineinjuries

UKCVFAMILY FOUNDER ON DAY SIX COVID INQUIRY’S MODULE 4: VACCINES & THERAPEUTICS JANUARY 21st, 2025 UKCVFamily members and trustees were present at day six of hearings for the Covid Inquiry Module 4: Vaccines and Therapeutics, which included testimony from the support group’s founder, Charlet Crichton. Prior to Ms Crichton, evidence was provided by Dame Kate Bingham, Dr Mary Ramsay, and Susannah Storey. Kate Bingham notes on “Expectation Management” dated 7th May 2020 were displayed, and we were extremely disappointed that she wasn’t asked to elaborate on the note stating, “Vaccination may cause worse symptoms than the disease itself (ADE, cytokine storms).” It was yet another confirmation from this module that it was known all along, that injuries would occur. Dr Ramsay described multiple systems that had been set in place in order to identify possible safety signals and deal with concerns about adverse reactions, when our members know from firsthand experience that none of those systems seemed to have worked as intended. We hope that our group’s evidence will prompt the Inquiry to look further into these systems. Susannah Storey provided general information about the sharing of content concerning side effects and adverse reactions, which she stated was up to social media platforms to decide how to handle. This contradicted previous witnesses comments about DHSC’s role in public messaging. UKCVFamily founder, Charlet Crichton, was then questioned on the 600-page document she submitted on behalf of over 2000 members. In addition to reiterating statements made last week by other vaccine injury groups, Charlet discussed the multiple chronic conditions that injured members have been left with, the failure of the Yellow Card System to respond to reports, the stigmatisation experienced when living with an adverse reaction, the extremely high rate of suicidal contemplation amongst the vaccine-injured (76%), and the possibility that, had the MHRA notified the public about VITT when they had actually become aware of the life-threatening condition instead of two weeks later, our members’ loved ones may still be with them. In just 25 minutes, Ms Crichton confidently and compassionately returned the conversation to what Baroness Hallett had declared in her opening statement in July 2022: “Those who have suffered will be at the heart of the Inquiry.” And Charlet did so whilst dealing with the recent loss of her mother, and managing her own ongoing health issues following her vaccination almost four years ago. We are all incredibly grateful. Charlet’s testimony in full will be made available on our Twitter account, and our Friends of UKCVFamily Facebook page. UKCVFAMILY’S TAKE ON DAY FIVE COVID INQUIRY’S MODULE 4: VACCINES & THERAPEUTICS JANUARY 20th, 2025 Day Five of the Covid Inquiry featured evidence from Alexandra Jones, Professor Sir Chris Whitty, Professor Sir Jonathan Van-Tam, and Professor Dame Jenny Harries. Questioning throughout the day seemed to be very much focused on the lines of increasing the UK’s capacity to both operate clinical trials, and manufacture vaccines. We are becoming increasingly disappointed in the amount of time dedicated to these discussion themes, especially as they seem to be steered by the lead counsel to the Inquiry himself. Without reasonable attention paid to those injured by clinical trials, we are very concerned that the appropriate measures will not be put in place to support those experiencing adverse reactions. There was also frequent reference to the extensive investment that had been made not just into the development of the Covid vaccine, but into the development of the technology that was used, which we were told had been going on for decades. We wonder why some of that investment over the years wasn’t allocated toward the treatment of the vaccine-injured. Given that the majority of our members were injured by the AstraZeneca vaccine, it was especially difficult to hear about the £650 million that the company announced in March 2024 it was investing into further development. Anna Morris KC was granted the opportunity to ask questions on our behalf of both Chris Whitty and Jonathan Van-Tam. Whitty acknowledged that safety monitoring was challenging because of the speed of the rollout, but insisted that it improved with time yet could not give specifics. Our members have not experienced any improvement with the Yellow Card Scheme during the past four years. Both Whitty and Van-Tam were determined to stress the risk benefit, but our barrister responded with equal determination to stress that the public should have been made more aware of the risks so that they were able to give informed consent. Concerningly, Hugo Keith KC led a conversation on a report published on 8th December 2020, which he used as evidence to show that information about all adverse reactions in trials was in the public domain, yet failed to mention the censorship surrounding the sharing or discussion of such reports; censorship that still exists today. There were incidents mentioned by Van-Tam and Jenny Harries regarding delays in communicating safety concerns to the general public. For both incidents, the delays seem due to health officials’ concerns about how public messaging might impact vaccine take-up. Today’s overriding message was an especially disheartening one for the vaccine-injured, and one that should be of concern to the general public regarding both past and future vaccination rollouts. In effect, we have been told that we all knew about possible adverse reactions, and when they happened to us, we were collateral damage. We have yet to hear anything from any government representative, regarding the actual treatment of the vaccine-injured, and hope that our founder’s testimony tomorrow will mean that the topic can no longer be ignored. UKCVFamily Founder, Charlet Crichton, will be questioned on Tuesday 21st January. 2000 VACCINE-INJURED PROVIDE EVIDENCE TO COVID INQUIRY JANUARY 21st, 2025 The UK Covid-19 Inquiry, chaired by Baroness Hallett, will this week examine evidence submitted by the largest support group for the vaccine-injured and -bereaved in the UK. Originally set up in November 2021, UKCVFamily was given charity status by the Charity Commission for England and Wales last year (registered charity number 1207178), and was granted Core Participant status in Module 4: Vaccines and Therapeutics of the Covid Inquiry. UKCVFamily is represented by Hudgell Solicitors, who prevously represented clients in the Post Office Scandal, Manchester Arena Bombing, the Infected Blood Scandal, and the Hillsborough disaster. Hudgell Solicitors have instructed counsel Anna Morris KC of Garden Court Chambers. UKCVFamily Founder Charlet Crichton—herself permanently injured by the Covid vaccine she took whilst volunteering at a vaccination centre—will be questioned on the group’s evidence on Tuesday 21st January, during the second week of this module’s hearings. It is hoped that Ms Crichton will be questioned on the group’s experiences of medical treatment, safety reporting systems, censorship, and the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme. Ms Crichton said, “Given that in last week’s hearings, Matt Hancock stated that adverse reactions were to be expected, and were known to have happened within the clinical trials, we believe that our evidence will be of great interest to the general public.” Anyone in need of support is encouraged to contact UKCVFamily on enquiries@ukcvfamily.org. @angryhacademic @Naomi_D_Harvey @Michaeltikus I tried them once but the practitioner was too anxious to use more than one and usually you’d use six or so. It didn’t do anything for me. I respond better to actual bloodletting though, either modern medical or traditional Chinese method (I prefer the latter).

@juddmin @LongCovidHell Because those of us who have had serious adverse reactions have been left alone to deal with it, spending thousands of pounds to just get a bit of life back. We all expect the healthcare system and government to care if something goes wrong. They don’t. Hence the mistrust.

I recently turned down an invitation to speak at a conference to talk about vaccine injuries, because unlike COVID, where I had great success, I have had a much harder time finding reliable treatment to reverse the effects of the shots. 7% of my new patients the last 2 years were for vaccine injuries. I’ve seen improvements but very few cures. There are only a handful of doctors trying to help the vaccine-injured and very little funding for research.
