@DpdUkOfficial Terrible service today for my 92 year old mum who is waiting for delivery of a replacement phone which is over 2 hours late and no revised ETA. This is totally unacceptable. Over 2 hours ago, the tracking was showing her parcel was 3 stops away, we have had nothing since then.

Tentative walking training has begun (beach walking not mountains!) as I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for @bowelsofstmarks at the end of this year. St Mark’s Hospital took on my complex case and saved my life so I would love to raise as much money as possible for them. As most of you know I am an advanced, recurrent cancer survivor and I’ve had half my organs removed as well as part of my spine, pelvis bone, my right glute (makes climbing hard when stepping up onto the right leg) and a stabilising muscle (piriformis), I self catheterise and have a stoma and have numbness on my left side… I live with chronic pain and part of my small bowel has sunk into my empty pelvis (empty pelvis syndrome) and keeps twisting and obstructing so it’s been a rough couple of months of mainly fluids only… so in a nutshell this will be a huge challenge for this body of mine, but my mind is strong and I’m grateful to be here to do this and also so grateful to have this to keep me active at the moment! Dear Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Lid, Aldi, Waitrose, Morrisons, and all other stores that have self checkout. You are heading towards almost exclusively self-checkout now. The lady checking receipts at the exit was stopping everyone. I didn't choose to participate in that nonsense, I had already 🛒 filled my cart 🛒 emptied my cart 🛒 scanned the items 🛒refilled my cart and so I just skipped the exit line and left. I heard her saying "umm - Excuse me " as I kept walking and raised the receipt above my head, leaving the store. You can either trust me to do self-checkout, or you can put your cashiers back in place like it used to be. I'm not interested in proving that I did your job for you. • If you want me to be a cashier with no training then that's vour problem not mine. • Keep employing young people and give them job opportunities. YOU DON'T PAY ME TO SCAN MY OWN SHOPPING. YOU DON'T GIVE ME STAFF DISCOUNT FOR WORKING FOR YOU. Signed ....All of us These are jobs that are needed to have for young and old
