Growth is realizing you don’t know everything.
Maturity is actually changing your behavior because of what you now know.

“The first step toward true wisdom is the recognition of one’s own ignorance and weakness.” — C.S. Lewis
A wise man doesn’t spend his energy trying to prove how smart he is.
He’s acutely aware of his flaws, blind spots, and limitations — and he doesn’t run from them.
In a culture obsessed with image and looking competent, this feels backward. But the man who’s constantly performing and defending his image isn't wise. He’s insecure.
Real wisdom begins with humility: Admitting what you don’t know. Owning where you’re weak. Staying teachable even when it stings.
The man who refuses to acknowledge his ignorance stays ignorant. The man who embraces it begins to grow.
Which is louder in your life right now — the need to look wise, or the willingness to actually become wise?

A great word from @PaulTripp, this morning. I hope it encourages you as it has me.
“We really don't know much. Every day we are all greeted with mysteries. None of us can predict for sure where our personal stories are going. We are all confused abour what happens to us, to those close to us, and in the world in which we live. As much as we try to make sense of our lives, there are things that we simply aren't able to understand. Here's what all of this means—you and I will never find inner peace and rest by trying to figure it all out. Peace is found in resting in the wisdom and grace of the One who has it all figured out and rules it all for his glory and our good.”

"Make them believe that to be inoffensive or blandly nice is the height of Christian ethics all while they mutilate children, twist morality, and murder babies.

If the primary American divide is between right and left, then Talarico isn’t that interesting. There’s a long history of progressive religious activism in the United States, just as there is a long history of conservative religious activism. Yet if the primary American divide is between decent and indecent, then the equation changes. Talarico shines. nytimes.com/2026/03/08/opi…

The real struggle isn’t the addiction itself — it’s what it masks.
In a recent episode on the podcast, I reflected on how addiction often stems from a deeper craving for purpose, direction, and identity. It’s not just about the substance or behavior; it’s about escaping a sense of emptiness or confusion about who we are and where we’re headed.
When I talk to guys in their twenties, they often struggle with habits like alcohol, gambling, or porn. But what I see behind those habits is a lack of clarity — a feeling that something’s missing in their lives.
