The fans here in Dallas have been pissed that it's been closed when the weather has been fabulous. Good on them for opening 3 times, but saying it's been open "whenever possiible" is simply untrue

Why won’t the Astros open the roof at Daikin Park? The team wouldn’t make anyone available to discuss. Some players past and present prefer it open. Other teams with roofs — including one in Texas — try to open whenever possible. Story with @SamBlum3 - nytimes.com/athletic/72229…

@ByEricPratt A lot of people get around that with VPN. Simple to do. Download the Nord app for your TV. Choose a city where it's not blacked out, Fish around a little before you find one MLB isn't blocking. I don't know any of them personally. But I suspect they're pretty cool.

My dad is 75 and lives in Iowa. He got the MLB Extra Innings package to watch the Tigers again this year - something he plans his whole day around.
Tonight, Detroit (664 miles from his house) hosted Milwaukee (360 miles from his house). Couldn't watch. Blacked out. (1/2)

@gjspittle There were a lot of mishandled pucks in the game, especially in the 1st. In the 2nd, the Stars looked like they were skating in quicksand.
Many players ended up on the ice.
All in all the pace was much slower and the game was sloppy. Maybe I'm crazy, but was the ice an issue?

Ethical question.
I was in the hotel gym just now in a dad came in to do weights with two of his children.
While he wasn’t paying attention to his son, who was about seven years old, climbed on the treadmill and kept hitting buttons until it was going at 8 miles an hour. Worried he was going to get killed. I warned him to turn it down. He then got back on it and did it again.
I ended my workout early and talk to the dad saying I thought that was dangerous and I didn’t want someone a child to get hurt. He said it was fine and he did 8 miles an hour yesterday.
At that point, I left and informed the front desk. I said it was their call, but it was my judgment a child could get seriously hurt.
Was this the right thing to do?
